All about Laura

I’ve been in travel for over 20 years now, and I still adore my job! I’ve been lucky enough in my life, and through my career, to have travelled extensively, and cherish memories from a plethora of fantastic trips. I'm proud to be the Australia Specialist for Miles Morgan Travel's Cirencester branch, having visited twice – though it still doesn’t feel like enough – and I take great pleasure in building Australia itineraries for clients, to ensure they explore this wonderful country to the fullest. I cannot wait to explore more of it myself in years to come!

Another highlight of my travel adventures: a road trip across America! We set off from San Franscisco, gawping at the infamous Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, before cruising the wide American highways to Monterey, Yosemite National Park, and further to Sequioa National Park – we hiked the trails, in awe of the magnificent scenery, and even squeezed in a little bear-watching! It was utterly mesmerising. We then drove through Death Valley to Las Vegas. Though our trip was almost over, the party had only just begun! The rumours are certainly true: the city doesn’t sleep!

I’m also incredibly lucky to have seen three of the Seven Wonders of the World: the Colossus of Rhodes in Greece, the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, and new to the official list, the ancient city of Petra in Jordan. Egypt would have to be a highlight: with so much ancient history on the doorstep of the Nile, I couldn’t recommend a Nile Cruise more! It’s a perfect way to tick off multiple iconic destinations and landmarks, with the comfort of a beautiful boat to return to at night.

Equally, travel adventures don’t have to stray so far from home – Europe has an abundance to offer! In 2022, I sailed along the Rhine to Amsterdam, and was blown away with the beauty, food, service and excursions offered by Avalon Waterways. I cannot wait for my next river cruise; my eye is on the Danube!

Next on my radar: celebrating my birthday on the soft white sands of Mauritius, with a cocktail in hand and a beautiful ocean view.
