All about Brittany

After a year and a half in the travel industry, I feel very comfortable in my role as a Travel Specialist in Miles Morgan Travel’s Taunton branch. I was well-travelled before joining the team, having grown up living in a range of amazing destinations across the world, but my knowledge has expanded massively since entering into the travel industry. I love the way that travelling creates the opportunity to see incredible sights, explore fascinating cultures, participate in brand new activities and sample different nations’ delicious cuisines. Helping customers to have those experiences makes for a wonderful job.

My favourite holiday was definitely Disneyland Paris. It’s a magical theme park, with such variety: from exhilarating rollercoasters like Thunder Mountain to the beautifully intricate gondola ride through It’s A Small World and the infamous Tower of Terror, both the Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios are brimming with enough attractions to keep me entertained for days! The on-site accommodation is great and I loved spotting the Disney characters wandering around, signing autographs and posing for photos. Even the gift shop is an enchanting experience, and the nighttime extravaganza is not to be missed. Regardless of age, I’d recommend Disneyland Paris to anyone in search of an action-packed holiday.

For me, the most special two places I’ve lived are Dhekelia in Cyprus, and Gütersloh in Germany. Both are absolutely stunning! The Dhekelia area incorporates Larnaca, which is a lively and modern city with impressive historical architecture and overlooks the bright blue waters of Larnaca Bay, at the east-most end of the Mediterranean. Dhekelia also has a multitude of soft sandy beaches and rugged cliffs that form a beautiful landscape. Gütersloh, on the other hand, is a relatively small and historic city situated inland, with rustic Bavarian architecture and, though renowned as an administrative centre, is an incredibly green city. There are many picturesque parks that are perfect for walks, bike rides and even swimming in the natural ponds, and the city also has many great museums to visit. My memories in these places are very special and I still love travelling around Europe now, for a taste of my adventurous childhood.

Since joining the team at Miles Morgan Travel, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel by both ocean and river cruise, and absolutely loved both experiences. I sailed down the Rhine with Avalon Waterways and took a P&O voyage to Germany and Belgium: sampling both styles of cruising was brilliant and equipped me with valuable knowledge to help my customers with their own cruising ambitions.
