All about Joanne

Travel has always been a cornerstone in my life, and it brings me such joy to now be working in the travel industry. I began my travel career with Miles Morgan a year ago, having already visited many incredible destinations, but my horizons have opened dramatically – I’m extremely grateful for this new gateway into exploring the world, and love to share that gateway with customers.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to have enjoyed a range of holidays: from exhilarating city breaks, to laid-back all-inclusives, organised coach tours and many gorgeous cruises. A true highlight, for me, will always be the Maldives: I can safely say that I’ve experienced paradise! It’s as beautiful as it looks in the photos, but no postcard can capture the way those views take your breath away, or the untouched serenity of the place. I snorkelled above eagle rays and turtles in their natural habitat – a wonderful sight! I’ll remember that forever. To top it all off, the service in the resort was absolutely first class, and I spent five days hoping my holiday would never end. I couldn’t recommend it enough and I’m so grateful for those memories.

I also have a passion for cruising, having enjoyed many cruises around the Mediterranean, Caribbean, the Baltic Sea and the United Arab Emirates. To me, the joy of cruising is experiencing multiple destinations within one voyage, staying in luxury with a wealth of amenities: five-star dining, world-class shows, incredibly varied entertainment, shopping, and of course, must-see excursions. Why would you not? I’ve also been introduced to river cruising recently, having experienced the wonders of the Danube – a truly memorable experience! The ships were stunning, the food was delicious and the service, like that on ocean liners, was remarkable. To dock in the heart of such marvellous cities was a joy – Vienna was a true highlight, a beautiful city that I would love to explore further.

I’ve also travelled to eastern Canada recently, ticking another major item off my bucket list! I stayed in Toronto, and undertook an exciting scavenger hunt around the city, allowing me to see all of the main sights. The true highlight, though, was a breathtaking helicopter ride over Niagara Falls. It was a true once-in-a-lifetime experience, and seeing this wonder lit up at night was a sight to behold! I will never forget it, and love sharing this experience with customers, to inspire their Canada trips.

I also love a city break and have travelled Europe extensively this way over time. One of my favourites will always be Lisbon. It’s such a beautiful city, with a heartbreaking history of natural disaster, but has been rebuilt so wonderfully, while preserving the historical old town of Alfama. The city is a foodie’s paradise, and with great sight-seeing opportunities, I’d highly recommend it for an exciting few days in the sun!
