All about Emilie
I'm now entering my fourth year with the award-winning Miles Morgan Travel. I’ve got a passion for travel, and working in this industry is a perfect way to explore it, and share it with excited customers, and the inspiring colleagues that I work with.
Whether it's a bucket list trip, a cruise, or an indulgent week in the sun, I get great satisfaction from providing our customers with an unforgettable holiday; having worked in retail for most of my career, I’ve found a love for helping people create lifelong memories.
My most treasured travel memory was in October 2022: I travelled to Canada, staying in the wonderful Toronto. I took a day-trip to Niagara Falls, which was absolutely breathtaking, and also visited the quaint little town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, set comfortably on the shores of Lake Ontario. The architecture is unbelievably beautiful, and I’ve now set my heart on exploring other parts of Canada, particularly British Columbia. I've since travelled to Atlantic Canada in October 2024, visiting Newfoundland and Halifax, only a 5 hour 30-minute direct flight from London. Atlantic Canada is known for its rugged, stunning coastlines, rich maritime history, fresh seafood, and famously friendly locals. You'll also find colourful fishing villages, plus incredible nature from icebergs and whales, to forests and dramatic cliffs. The highlight of this trip for me was staying in the historic and authentic village of Trinity. It was like stepping back in time. I went on a Whale watching trip from Trinity's harbour and saw a Minke Whale as well as waterfalls, a puffin chick, and a school of tuna!
I’ve also travelled to Europe quite extensively and have a special fondness for Greece. In 2019, I spent ten days in Nissaki, Corfu, snorkelling with tropical fish, and wandering the beautiful, cobbled streets of Corfu town. More recently, I visited Pefkos, Rhodes – a wonderful resort, with the picturesque Lindos and the Acropolis only a stone’s throw away. The iconic Rhodes Town isn’t far either and a local bus shuttles there regularly, for a small charge. From Rhodes I took a boat and spent the day exploring the stunning island of Symi including idyllic swim stops. The true highlight, though, was renting a speedboat for the day – I explored gorgeous little bays and cruised across the Greek waters in baking sunshine. My favourite was Navarone Bay - they call it the Greek Maldives. I've also travelled to Zakynthos and I can't wait to keep exploring more of the Greek Islands.
I’ve also been introduced to cruising since working for Miles Morgan Travel, a world I’d never imagined I’d find myself in. It’s incredible: the food was outstanding, the crew’s service was unmatched, and the itinerary ticked off Amsterdam and Rotterdam, two places I’ve always wanted to visit! I’d thoroughly recommend cruising for customers from any walk of life, and I’ve got my eye on plenty more: my dream being an Alaskan cruise after a train ride on the Rocky Mountaineer. I've recently explored Cunard's Queen Victoria for the day whilst docked at Southampton. Back in March 2025, I attended the CLIA river cruise conference in Budapest. Having never seen a river cruise ship I was thrilled to explore lots of the different ships on offer. I absolutely love the idea of river cruising as you are able to see several different places and countries in one holiday, docked right in the heart of the towns & cities and you unpack once.
I have some exciting trips ahead, and I can't wait to bring back knowledge and inspiration to my lovely customers.
I look forward to seeing you in our Wells branch, and helping you create the holiday you’ve always dreamed of.
