All about Suzanne

I’ve worked in the travel industry for over 30 years now – I began in a student-oriented travel agency, specialising in independent and adventure travel, before moving into a large travel agent, selling package holidays and cruises. Now, working for Miles Morgan Travel, I can’t imagine myself anywhere else – it’s so exciting to work for an independent travel agency, where we have the opportunity to book such a large variety of holidays, and tailor-make customers the holiday of their dreams!

I’ve been fortunate enough to travel across the world, and in particular, on escorted tours. My most memorable experience would definitely be the small group tour with Explore, to Vietnam. We travelled from Hanoi to Saigon, and along the way we were blessed with beautiful landscapes, lots of local food and learnt about both ancient and modern history. To top it off, we also were fortunate enough to partake in a homestay on the Mekong Delta and experience the authentic Vietnamese lifestyle. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Another travel highlight that I’ll never forget is the Star Clipper Tall Ship Sailing adventure Cruise around Thailand and Malaysia. Standing on the deck, with crystal blue waters stretching to the horizon, and watching rows and rows of white sails fly, billowing in the breeze, I was utterly speechless. That moment will stay with me forever!

I’ve also travelled extensively closer to home, around the highly varied cities and landscapes of Europe. Switzerland is always a go-to destination, for me – I visited many times as a child, and walking in the stunning Alps, breathing in the crisp mountain air, always reawakens those treasured memories.

To me, the essence of travel is learning about new cultures, people and places – and venturing way beyond the beaten track! I cannot wait to continue my own travel expeditions, and I love creating these authentic experiences for my customers.
