I have holidayed in Greece every year, sometimes twice, for the last 20 years, so I would definitetly class myself as a 'Greek Expert'. Whichever island you choose, large or small, you will receive the most lovely warm welcome from the locals, as well as food to die for, beautiful scenery, history and lots of activities (if that's what you want). I would recommend Kefalonia for breath-taking views, Crete for history or Kos for stunning beaches and a quick sightseeing/shopping trip to Turkey. I still can't believe I walked the Samaria Gorge in August! It's well worth taking a day out of your holiday to visit the gorge and there are numerous ways to do it - some less tiring than others! Many Cretan resorts are absolutely idyllic - Tavronitis is one of my favourites as it is a very peaceful, sleepy seaside village with some lovely tavernas. Rethymnon has a beautiful harbour with lots of open air restaurants and bars. Crete is the largest of the Greek islands so give me a call to discuss which area suits you the best.

Idyllic islands, long sandy sun-drenched beaches and turquoise blue seas, it’s no wonder that Greece is probably the most popular summer holiday destination. My favourite would have to be Zante, which caters for all - from the crazy nightlife of Laganas for the young at heart; to the authentic Greek town of Alykanas with its whitewashed tavernas and quiet beach. I would definitely have to recommend a jeep safari as it’s the best way to truly discover the beauty of this island.
