Well what can I say? This was my sixth visit to the Big Apple and, may I add, will certainly not be my last!!
Although many visitors arrived in their flat shoes, raring to go shopping, I decided to add a little style and wear my high heeled shoes - I still managed to keep up with the crowds as we looked for the Christmas bargain of the year. Although who am I trying to kid, especially as most of our time was spent shopping in Bloomingdales!
Just like native New Yorkers, we caught a taxi from the airport to our hotel, and I couldn't wait to get to the Radisson, which is situated on Times Square, so that I could leave my luggage and head right on out to to the hustle and bustle of New York. I have to say that "The City that never Sleeps" truly lives up to its reputation.
My favourite store to shop in was Saks 5th Avenue and I also loved our day trip out to see the Statue of Liberty. We also took in a musical on Broadway, 'Les Miserables'. This is a 'must do' experience when you are in New York - one tip I would mention is to pre-book your show, so that you're not disappointed. There are plenty of fantastic shows to choose from.
I can also recommend the Hop-on Hop-off bus tour as we saw many iconic sights and got a real feel of the layout of New York City. We also went up the Empire State building where you have a 360-degree view of New york, which is absolutely fabulous on a clear day.
