All about Nina

I’ve been the Manager of Miles Morgan Travel’s Ross-On-Wye branch since it opened 19 years ago! I’m certainly loyal to this fabulous company, and after 37 years in the travel industry I still adore my job. My team does their best to provide outstanding service, listening carefully to customers and inspiring, creating and organising itineraries to cater for any holiday-maker that walks in. I love building bonds with my customers – they soon become friends! – and using my extensive experience to find them the perfect holiday. I was born and raised in Ross-On-Wye and am a familiar face in the local area, so there’s no better feeling than helping the community make amazing memories.

I adore travelling and have made many unforgettable memories myself: from seeing the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco to yachting around Thailand and its surrounding islands, taking the Jacobite Steam Train (Harry Potter!) in Scotland to visiting the ABBA museum in Sweden, I’ve really learnt that holidays can be whatever you want them to be, and the world is waiting to be explored.

As a Cruise Specialist, I’m a huge advocate for sailing the seven seas! I absolutely love it. The beauty of cruising is that the ships have stylish accommodation, fabulous service, restaurants and dazzling entertainment, informative talks, endless activities, a gym and even a spa: they really are floating hotels. Across the cruise lines there’s a huge amount of diversity too, from the small, luxurious boutique ships to huge family-friendly ones, and many in between. Passengers can join in and socialise with others as much or as little as they like on-board, and there’s no pressure to dress up of an evening, but I always like to! The sunsets from the top deck are always a spectacle too. Of course, cruising is also about the itinerary, and I love using them to get a flavour of lots of different destinations, to get inspired for my next holiday. There are always places I want to return to.

I often run escorted cruises myself, which are always very successful. There are convenient pick-up points and arranged coach travel from Ross-on-Wye to the departure port, so every step of the way is covered. We always have a great time on-board together, so if you’d be interested in joining an escorted group, give me a ring!

I’ve been on some amazing cruises. I’ve sailed down the Panama Canal from Mexico and island-hopped around the Caribbean, which was a brilliant way of exploring this part of the world. I’ve sailed around the Arctic Circle via the Norwegian fjords and Spitzbergen, taking a thrilling husky-ride excursion and taking in the beautiful mountains, with snow on the peaks. I even saw the Northern Lights in monochrome! I’ve also done a stunning Iceland and Greenland itinerary, which accessed very remote areas where only Native tribespeople live, and the icebergs were incredible too. Europe also, of course, has many great cruise itineraries, and I loved exploring the south of France and Corsica this way, as well as Spain, the Azores and even the Scottish Highlands. The possibilities are endless.

Cruising aside, I have so many treasured destinations that I absolutely love. I’ve been to New York six times now, and plan to revisit soon! The buzz of the city is infectious, the shopping scene is great, and there’s so much to see and do: I’ve ridden in a horse-and-cart around Central Park, climbed all the way up to the Statue of Liberty’s crown, had a luxury afternoon tea in The Plaza, visited the Empire State Building and Top of the Rock, watched spectacular Broadway shows and, of course, paid my respects at Ground Zero. I always like to stay near Times Square, because it’s so central that I can wake up every morning and do whatever I fancy. It’s a must-see destination, and one I’ll return to time and time again.

I also have a huge soft spot for Italy. My husband and I took our first holiday together in Tuscany, and the Tuscan coast is so beautiful, with so many gorgeous areas to explore, from Zoltera to Luca, Florence to San Gimignano. The food, the scenery, the medieval architecture and the culture all combine to make a dream-like destination that I cannot get enough of. I also adore the Amalfi coast, with its turquoise waters and its gorgeous towns. Positano and Sorrento in particular are really stunning, and I love booking customers to go there: I know they’ll never come back disappointed.

I am writing to thank you for the recommendation you gave us for our holiday to The Galley Bay in Antigua. From the moment we arrived at the resort to the time we left the staff could not do enough for us. We stayed in one of the upstairs Premium Suites with balcony overlooking the beach which gave us a stepped lounge area from the bedroom area and a bathroom with twin basins and showers and also a corner bath. We found the accommodation excellent in every way. As for the resort, it had three restaurants all of which where excellent for food and service (no buffets) In particular The Gauguin restaurant made our stay very memorable as it was my 60th Birthday when we were there and they laid on a birthday meal for us including Champagne in the pagoda on the beach, which made the evening very special. If any of your customer’s are looking for a truly relaxing and memorable holiday we would recommend this Adults only All exclusive resort without question. We hope to return to the Galley Bay in the near future. Thank you for your help with this marvellous holiday.
