I have just returned from a fantastic trip to the Forte Village, Sardinia. Just over a two-hour flight from the UK we were picked up in style with a convoy of Mercedes and transferred to the hotel in under an hour!!
What can I say about the Forte Village apart from WOW, this award-winning resort really does have something for everyone. Set in almost 50 acres of tropical landscape and a pine forest.
The hotel was so well set up for family and if you have children who enjoy sport then this is defiantly definitely the hotel for you! With their sport academy for football, tennis and boxing to name but a few. I thought the best hotel in the Forte Village for family's would be the Hotel Bouganville as they have family friendly bungalows surrounded by palm trees with access the five swimming pools. including a waterpark!! There are so many activities within the hotel with bowling, Go Karting, Barbie & Mario village and so much more. We got the chance to have a go at the Go Karting it turns out I am no Lewis Hamilton but what fun we all had!
As well as family this hotel would also be great for couples. I would recommend the Hotel Castello which is a 5* with direct access to the beach and also two beachfront infinity pools that are only a short walk from the hotel. This is the hotel I stayed in with its beautiful outside terrace where you can have breakfast while the hotels pianist plays relaxing music, this was a real gem. I was lucky enough to experience the award-winning Spa, what fun and so relaxing with its many thermal baths and many treatments available, including couple treatments.
If you are a foodie this is the hotel for you, with its 21 restaurants you will never run out of places to eat! You can enjoy fine Italian and world cuisine. They also have a 2 star Michelin chef within the resort. We had lunch every day at the Pizzeria which is a great hit with the kids, set next to the beach you can relax looking out to sea or watch the pizzas being cooked, this was a real gem.
What I loved about this hotel was it felt like a small village, once you have finished you evening meal you can take a walk around the shops then make your way to the main stay where every night, they have entertainment with a bar and table service.
With is sandy beaches stretching as far as the eye can see. I even went for a swim in the crystal-clear water, a little cold to say the least but had to be done!!
