All about Sue
Having travelled the globe for many years as part of the Cabin Crew for British Airways, I eventually decided to it was time to return to solid ground and become a Travel Specialist. It was a difficult decision, but I’ve discovered a whole new world and a fabulous career booking holidays for excited customers! I worked for a small independent agency in Berkshire, before relocating to Somerset in 2019 and taking up my current role. I’ve always made sure to work for a company whose ethos is to always prioritise a customers’ needs, and that is certainly the case at Miles Morgan Travel.
My travel experiences range from cruising the Caribbean, skiing across the globe, staying on a houseboat in Kashmir and, a true passion of mine, playing golf on plenty of stunning courses, particularly in La Manga Club in Spain where I lived for several years. I’ve been lucky enough to experience a whistle-stop tour of many places in my time as an Air Hostess and have gained knowledge to help customers with any sort of adventure, near or far!
Since joining Miles Morgan Travel, I’ve discovered cruising, which I’ve enjoyed enormously. The team in the Yeovil branch call me their personal Jane Macdonald – though they’re thankful I can’t sing! I’ve experienced many different cruise lines now, and have a particular soft spot for P&O. I sailed on-board Aurora, a lovely, small, Adults-Only ship, for a 28-day cruise from Southampton, with some fabulous stops including Barbados, Antigua and the Azores. I’ve also discovered the wonder of sailing with Azamara, a cruise line comprised of small ships that take less than 700 passengers onboard.
One holiday I’ll never forget, though, was a voyage with MSC from Venice all the way to Cape Town through the Suez Canal. It was the trip of a lifetime. Both cities were wonderful, though vastly different: the former with its old-world idyllic charm and iconic gondola rides, and the latter with magnificent mountain views and a blend of the modern and the historic architecture. We also docked in Safaga (for Luxor), the Seychelles and Mauritius. It was truly fantastic!
In 2024 I’m flying to Sydney, Australia and sailing back to Southampton on a 56-day voyage. I’m very excited, and I look forward to sharing my experience with customers on my return.
