All about Lucy
I have over thirty years of experience in customer service and I’m delighted to be working for Miles Morgan Travel alongside a fantastic team, that always go above and beyond to prioritise our customers’ needs with a warm welcome and high-quality service. This is my first role in the travel industry and I’m loving every minute of my time as a Foreign Exchange Specialist. It’s hugely rewarding: there’s nothing better than ensuring customers have all they need to make the most of their time abroad.
Of course, I love to travel myself, and I feel lucky to have been on many amazing trips across the world. I’ve been to the USA several times, and Boston was my favourite: it’s a great blend of the old and historical and the modern and cosmopolitan, with shimmering buildings and a stunning skyline at night. The North End, otherwise known as Little Italy, is a lovely neighbourhood with amazing eateries as well as the famous harbour and aquarium. I think it’s a must-see destination, with so much to see and do: the USS Constitution, the Bunker Hill Museum, whale-watching in Cape Anna and a trip to Fenway Park for an exhilarating baseball game. There are many walking and touring opportunities, and Boston is also a stone’s throw from Salem, and a four-hour coach to New York (which is small in the grand scheme of America!). I once did Boston and NYC as a twin-centre and had wonderful time seeing all the sights of the Big Apple.
Closer to home, I’ve travelled numerous times across Portugal, Spain, France and Switzerland, visiting many different destinations each time. Lucerne was a real gem: a lakeside city surrounded by stunning Swiss mountains, it’s home to the infamous Chapel Bridge that connects the two halves of the city bisected by the River Reuss, and it’s a beautiful sight to see. I love tailor-making itineraries for my customers and am always eager to share my knowledge of the beauty that Europe has to offer.
Some of my favourite holidays have been to Greece and her islands: they’re so idyllic, with perfect beaches, resorts, towns, cuisine, and the loveliest locals too. Rhodes is at the top of my list, with its fascinating historical sights dotted across the island. I love to stay in the Rodos Palladium in Kalithea, a beautiful hotel on the beach. My true highlight of Rhodes, though, is Lindos: the Acropolis is unbelievable, and having lunch at the rooftop restaurant is a real treat.
If you’re in need of foreign currency for your next holiday, I’d be thrilled to help you in our Yeovil Branch.
