I’m delighted to have joined the fantastic team at Miles Morgan Travel in Wells. I’ve always had a passion for travelling, beginning my travel career at a high-street agency over twenty years ago! I left the industry to have a family, always vowing to myself that I’d return: thankfully, I’ve been back in travel for a year now, and absolutely love it.

Of course, as well as booking many wonderful customers, I love to travel myself, and have had some fantastic adventures. I’m a lifelong Disney fan, so Disneyland Paris has always had a special place in my heart. I’ve been many times over the years and it’s quickly become my area of expertise: I’m always delighted to help customers plan their magical stay! Paris is also a beautiful city to visit, while you’re there – taking a trip to the top of the iconic Eiffel Tower and sailing peacefully along the Seine are just some of my happiest memories there. Next on my own travel bucket list is Disney World in Florida, or even a Disney Cruise!

I was also enchanted by an unforgettable trip to Lapland. From the minute we boarded the plane, there was a buzz of excitement in the air, and within hours we’d been whisked away to a white world of snow-lined trees, husky and reindeer rides, and cosy log cabins. From an adult’s perspective, crossing the Arctic Circle and seeing the Northern Lights arcing across the night’s sky was a true bucket-list moment: but I’m a child at heart, and meeting Santa really was the icing on the perfect Christmas cake!

I’ve been lucky enough to visit many other destinations besides. My husband and I honeymooned in the Dominican Republic, which was absolute paradise. We swam with dolphins and fed a white tiger – such beautiful moments I’ll never forget. We also spent one Christmas and New Year in Tunisia, indulging in outstanding seven-course gala dinners, visiting the iconic Star Wars film set, and treated ourselves to a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Tunisian Salt Lakes, riding camels across the northern edge of the Sahara Desert! It was a truly mesmerising holiday, and one that’ll be reminisced on for many years to come.

Europe also has many fantastic offerings, that I couldn’t recommend highly enough. I’ve visited Spain and her islands many times for luxurious sun-breaks, with Fuengirola and Torremolinos crowned as my firm favourites. I also recently visited Switzerland for the Christmas markets and was dazzled by the scenery; it was like a real-life Christmas card scene! We drove through snow-covered villages enroute to Lake Geneva, and the gorgeous little market stalls were lined up along the lakeside, with a snow-tipped mountain backdrop. I’ve never seen such beautiful scenery in my life - I’ll never forget it.

Cruising has certainly piqued my interest in recent years too – particularly European river cruising. I’ve been lucky enough to explore multiple ships on educational trips and was amazed with the incredible food and endless facilities these floating hotels have to offer. There really is a river cruise for everybody! I was inspired enough to book one for myself and cannot wait to sail from Budapest to Vienna down the Danube in November.
