All about Freya

After studying travel for many years in pursuit of my dream job, I’m absolutely thrilled to be starting my career as a Travel Specialist with Miles Morgan Travel, working alongside the knowledgeable and professional team in Ross-On-Wye. Travel has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve known since my teenage years that this was the industry I longed to be part of.

My love and inspiration for travel grows more each day but started at my roots: my family have always been very keen travellers, which sparked a passion in me as a child to see the world, following in their footsteps. I’m also lucky to have close relatives who live in New Zealand, which has given me the opportunity to explore this outstanding country several times, which really inspired the adventurer in me!

During my travels, I’ve been lucky enough to visit Huka Falls, the most-visited natural attraction in New Zealand, and jet-boat down its stunning turquoise waters. I’ve seen the iconic geysers in Rotorua and climbed Te Mata Peak, both of which were breathtaking. I also had the pleasure of visiting a Māori village and immersing myself in its beautiful traditional culture. New Zealand really is an incredible place, with so much to offer in all aspects of travel. The distance may make it seem intimidating, but I’d love to help customers get there – it’s really worth it.

Much closer to home, a favourite city break of mine is Edinburgh. I decided to go on the lead-up to Christmas, which was truly magical: the Christmas markets, with their sweet little niche stalls was wonderfully warm and festive. The Edinburgh Castle and the Edinburgh Dungeons are not to be missed either: both offer immense, rich Scottish history and heritage that make for fascinating excursions. The city itself has a vibrant atmosphere, beautifully picturesque streets to wander and a great array of bars and restaurants, to replenish yourself in after a day of exploring the many attractions!

It's such a beautiful gift to be able to travel: to see phenomenal landscapes and surprise yourself with experiences you never thought you’d have. My new role as a Travel Specialist allows me to pursue these for others, and to contribute to their lifelong memories. There is no greater pleasure!
