All about Julie

I am extremely happy to have joined the team at Miles Morgan Travel in their foreign exchange bureau. I love helping customers and what could be better than making sure that once we’ve booked your holiday, I can make sure you are adequately supplied with funds to better enjoy that trip.

Holidays make amazing unforgettable memories and I have been fortunate enough to travel to many destinations. When our children were younger we took them to Disneyland Florida and to Australia (for a family wedding in Melbourne).

We also visited Brisbane and Sydney and while driving from Melbourne to Sydney, and enjoying a fish and chip tea, we saw wild dolphins swimming out at sea. We saw, touched and fed kangaroos and cuddled koalas which were unforgettable experiences.

My husband and I have had 3 amazing, guided trips to Jordan, New York and Grindelwald in Switzerland. I wasn’t sure what to expect in Jordan but think it now rates in my top 3. We took a horse ride through the ravines to discover the wonder that is Petra, had a meal in style with waiter service on the top of Wadi Rum and floated in the dead sea late at night with a glass of champagne in one hand.

Our visit to New York was Christmas time with everything everywhere being lit up and decorated for the festive season. We had our first helicopter ride over NY which was brilliant and did ice skating in Central Park.

Our visit to Switzerland gave us a second helicopter ride over the Alps this time. We climbed to the top of the Jungfraujoch with a cable car ride off the edge of the mountains back down which was an exhilarating experience. To celebrate a landmark birthday my daughter took me to Las Vegas and it’s a trip I will never forget. The hotels are beyond amazing with anything and everything inside and out from animals, circus rides, waterfalls, aquariums and flowers. Another helicopter ride, I could get used to these, but my daughter’s first, took us over and into the Grand Canyon where we had a picnic lunch.

I love traveling closer to home too, having visited many European cities and also enjoying winter holidays in warmer climates like Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura. I went on my first cruise to the Baltics and have got the bug now (which everyone seems to get after their first one) and would love to go on another one. We visited Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Estonia, there is so much to see and do. Sea days are for a well-deserved rest, sunbathe, swim and eat or take part in onboard activities.
