All about Ella

I am thrilled to have joined the Chippenham branch of Miles Morgan Travel. My enthusiasm for travel has been with me since a young age as family holidays were always something I looked forward to and they gave me many fantastic lifelong memories. Having completed my Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism at college, I then embarked on a gap year travelling to Southeast Asia and Europe indulging myself in local cultures and history. Along with my customer service background and the travel that I have personally arranged I feel this gives me a good insight into meeting my customers’ holiday hopes and dreams.

One of my favourite destinations I have visited has got to be Dubai as I love the modern architecture, huge shopping malls, adventure and the cuisine it offers up in abundance. It is a perfect combination of a city and beach holiday. I really enjoyed riding the quadbikes over the sands, dune bashing in a 4x4, riding camels, and watching a belly dancing performance in the middle of the desert. Taking to the skies on an exhilarating helicopter ride over the Dubai skyline, The Jumeirah Palm and a bird’s eye view of the World Islands was a highlight for me.

I spent around two months in Thailand after completing my college studies and it is certainly one of my favourite destinations. I liked that you could easily take a bus journey to another location to switch up the scenery. It was a lot of fun to explore, hike and visit a cave deep in the jungle of Khao Sok National Park. Hopping aboard a traditional longtail boat offered some truly amazing scenic views. The locals were incredibly friendly and the place was extremely affordable making it easy to get around and to experience lots of the culture. The beaches in Thailand were like nothing else, the infamous Maya Bay was breathtaking with its white sand, crystal clear waters and dramatic cliffs which were all featured in the film ‘The Beach’.

A couple of my favourite European destinations are Dubrovnik and Malta. Seeing the beautiful city of Dubrovnik with its many orange tiled rooftops and stunning coastline from the top of the mountain where I had an adrenaline fuelled ride on a zip line was spectacular. Whilst on this excursion the staff gave a talk on the history of the city which I found most interesting. I also walked the city walls which gave magnificent 360 degree views around the old town and out to sea. I love everything about Dubrovnik, but especially the delicious seafood! Malta is one of my favourites because of its culture, cuisine, pretty side streets and history. Exploring medieval fortresses and the small streets of Valletta, seeing the Saluting Battery, visiting Gozo, a speed boat ride in the caves and the blue lagoon which is well known for its bright blue waters were some of my favourite things to do.
