All about Jed

Born and raised in Dorset, my life in Blandford revolves around the things that matter most to me – my family, friends, cats and, of course, travel. From an early age, I knew I wanted a career that would allow me to explore the world and help others create unforgettable memories of their own.

After studying Travel & Tourism at college, I packed my bags and set off on the adventure of a lifetime, travelling independently across Australia, New Zealand and the USA. Those experiences cemented my love of discovering new destinations, experiencing different cultures and stepping outside my comfort zone. They also confirmed that travel wasn't just a hobby for me, it was going to be my career.

When I returned home, I joined my local travel agency in Blandford as a trainee at just 20 years old. Fourteen years later, I am still doing the job I love and remain as passionate about travel as ever. Over the years, I have helped thousands of customers plan everything from family holidays and honeymoons to once-in-a-lifetime adventures, luxury escapes, cruises and tailor-made itineraries. There is nothing more rewarding than hearing about the incredible memories my customers have made whilst travelling.

Travel has taken me to some truly amazing places across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia, Australasia and the Caribbean. Some of my personal highlights include watching the sunrise at the Taj Mahal in India, exploring the ancient wonders of Petra in Jordan, standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon, discovering the breathtaking landscapes of Banff and Jasper in Canada, and cruising through Norway's spectacular fjords. From witnessing the dramatic landscapes of Iceland and Lapland to experiencing the vibrant cities of Hong Kong, Dubai and New York, every destination has added to my passion for discovering the world and sharing those experiences with my customers.

Alongside my role as a Travel Manager, I am proud to serve on the Travel Advisory Board for Hyatt Inclusive Collection, working alongside industry professionals to help shape future travel experiences and provide valuable feedback from both agents and customers.

One of the things I love most about travel is that there is always somewhere new to discover. I currently have exciting adventures planned for Peru, including the iconic Inca Trail and Machu Picchu, Thailand, and an Alaska cruise combined with Vancouver. My travel bucket list continues to grow, with dreams of experiencing a Nile Cruise, spotting wildlife on safari in Kenya, exploring Brazil, taking an expedition cruise to Antarctica and relaxing in the Maldives.
