All about Marie

I was born and bred in Bath, and when I left school, I was given the opportunity to work as a travel apprentice for a local agency. I jumped at the chance: I couldn’t think of a better career than sending people on holiday around the world. I didn’t look back! 35 years later, I’m delighted to be the Manager of Miles Morgan Travel’s Bath branch. After working for several larger travel companies, I feel so glad to be returning to my roots in such a lovely independent agency, in my home city. I love sharing my adventures and pass on my hints and tips to customers in readiness to make great memories.

I absolutely love travelling, whether it’s a cheeky little city break close to home or an adventure across the world! Most notable on my travel tick-list would be my road trips around the USA; I’ve now visited over half of the US states and would love to explore more. Another fabulous highlight of my travel memories would be seeing André Rieu performing in Maastricht, which was truly spectacular. Visiting new places, experiencing new cultures and partaking in activities I never thought I would always make me really happy: travelling is always full of surprises!

Recently, I celebrated a big birthday and I spent it at Niagara Falls! What an experience. I followed it up with a road trip, stopping off in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec City. Canada is one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever visited – the untouched wilderness, dramatic landscapes and stunning lakes were definitely my highlights. The people are really friendly too. The west of Canada and its gorgeous mountains are next on my bucket list.
