All about Ella-Louise

From a young age, I’ve been captivated by travel; I spent most of my childhood years travelling around Europe, and that early exposure to diverse cultures and destinations had me hooked! I’ve been working in the travel industry since 2016 – originally in Foreign Exchange, learning about different currencies, before progressing onto selling holidays – and I couldn’t imagine myself in any other industry. Where better to share my experiences, and the thrill of travelling the world?

A highlight holiday for me was a birthday trip to the stunning Corfu in 2023. We stayed in a beautiful boutique hotel on the south of the island, and spent countless hours wandering the narrow, cobbled streets and the gorgeous beaches. I was lucky enough to take a boat trip for the day, to the mini-island of Paxos; we swam in the clear blue waters and explored the remote little town. It was so unbelievably beautiful, and so quiet – a true insight into traditional Greek living!

I also thoroughly enjoy my solo city breaks within the UK or Europe, creating more memories and stories each time! I tend to go in December, as the festive atmosphere, gifts and treats of the European Christmas Markets are unmissable! A particular highlight was Budapest: incredible scenery, decked with the best of both ancient and modern architecture, fabulous riverboat tours and a magical atmosphere around the Christmas stalls. It was my first solo city break, and one I’ll never forget. I took another solo trip in December to Berlin and was delighted to find the Botanical Garden and Museum had a two-hour Festive Light Trail – it was magical. I’ve gained such beautiful memories from these trips.

In May 2023, I was very lucky to have the opportunity to sail on the magnificent Celebrity APEX ship from Cork to Belfast: my first cruising experience! It was a real eye-opener to the cruising world – the "Luxury Resort at Sea" experience was truly fantastic. I’d highly recommend it, for all walks of life – there really is a cruise out there to suit everybody!
