Celebrating my birthday in Rhodes this year was nothing short of magical, with a luxurious twin-centre stay at two exceptional resorts that showcased the very best of Greek hospitality, wellbeing and relaxation.
Our journey began at the stunning Lindos Grand Resort & Spa, an adult-only 5* haven overlooking the beautiful Vlycha Bay. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special. Friendly staff greeted us with a welcome cocktail before personally escorting us to our Junior Suite Sea View Room with Private Pool. The room was simply breathtaking.
The resort's spectacular infinity pool became one of my favourite spots, offering panoramic views across the bay. By day, the sparkling sea stretched out before us, while by night the illuminated bay and mountains created a truly magical setting. The atmosphere throughout the resort was calm, elegant and incredibly relaxing.
The dining options were excellent, with a buffet restaurant catering well for dietary requirements and allergens. One evening, we enjoyed dinner at the beachfront Bar Banana, the perfect setting to watch the sun set over the sea. Exploring was easy too, with regular buses to both Lindos Town and Rhodes Town stopping just outside the hotel.
On my birthday, I treated myself to an afternoon in the spa, enjoying a relaxing facial and some well-deserved pampering. The hotel's focus on wellbeing shines through in every detail, with an extensive range of treatments designed to leave guests feeling completely rejuvenated.
For the second part of our holiday, we moved south and stopped off for a tour and lunch at the Lindos Imperial Resort and Spa - a 5* Family resort based on Kiotari Beach. This is a perfect resort for anyone wanting the luxury feel but wants to have activities to keep children of all ages entertained. Pools are plentiful with a large selection of dining options on an All-Inclusive board basis.
After a tasty lunch we went on to check in to the remarkable Gennadi Grand Resort, a luxurious 5* wellbeing retreat set in a private peaceful beachfront location. From the moment we arrived, we felt our stresses disappear. We were whisked by buggy to our beautiful Two-Bedroom Suite with Private Pool, offering stunning sea views and plenty of privacy.
The suite was ideal for both families and couples travelling together, with two separate bedrooms divided by sliding doors and a shared outdoor terrace and pool area. It's quiet location within the resort made it the perfect place to switch off and unwind.
The resort offers a variety of pools, each with its own unique atmosphere. From the upbeat Wet Pool, where a resident DJ provided a calming but sophisticated soundtrack to the day, to the quieter cabana-lined twinkling pools designed for complete tranquillity, there really was a space to suit every mood.
We chose the All-Inclusive Dine Around package, allowing us to sample several of the resort's restaurants, from Mediterranean, Greek and Italian to the Eoesma Fine Dining Restaurant there was always something for everyone . The standout for us was the OTK Steak Restaurant, the standard and presentation of the food was exceptional, while many evenings ended perfectly with a visit to the elegant Grevin Wine Bar. From a violinist welcoming guests at breakfast to a pianist performing after dinner, every detail contributed to the resort's luxurious feel.
What made both hotels truly memorable was the exceptional service. Staff were attentive, welcoming and took the time to chat to get to know what their client likes, even to remembering our favourite drinks and preferences, creating a personalised experience that made us feel genuinely valued.
