After spending a weekend on board Ambition, I was impressed by the cabins and the facilities they had to offer. The cabins are decorated with light colours to help keep it feeling fresh and in tone with the rest of the ship, not forgetting the splashes of signature Ambassador purple.
I stayed in an Inside Cabin, which was a perfect base for a short break. These cabins are located on decks 7-10. The bed was so comfortable and the room had air conditioning, making for a perfect night's sleep. In the morning, why not start your day with a cuppa? There are tea and coffee-making facilities in every cabin on board. Other facilities include a hair dryer, complimentary shampoo and shower gel, UK three-pin plug sockets, ample storage space and a flat-screen TV.
The bathroom features a walk-in shower which is easily accessible but less spacious than cabins of a higher grade. The housekeeping team clean the cabins daily, so after a long day of exploring the ship, you can relax in a nice, tidy cabin.
The next grade of cabin is the Ocean View Cabin. This cabin has all the features of the Inside Cabin, but with a picture window. There are 3 types of views - unobstructed, partially obstructed and fully obstructed. These cabins are also located on decks 7-10. These cabins are slightly bigger than the Inside Cabins, some have fixed double beds however most have beds than can be converted into twins.
Next up are the Balcony Cabins. On decks 9 and 12, these cabins are more spacious and of course, have a wonderful private balcony equipped with two deck chairs to watch the world go by. These cabins are perfect if you are embarking on a more scenic cruise, whether you're searching for the Northern Lights in Norway or sunbathing in the Mediterranean. These cabins also feature a sofa bed suitable for a third guest.
Next up is the Suite Cabins. Leading with the Junior Suite and Superior Junior Suite, on decks 10 and 12, these cabins feature a private balcony and a sitting area to really feel like a home away from home. The Suites either have a shower en-suite or a shower over the bath, so keep this in mind if you require certain facilities. Guests in Suite Cabins also have complimentary in-suite dining, so you can enjoy the fabulous cuisine from the comfort of your own room.
The Premium Suite Cabins located on decks 7 and 12 have the same facilities as the Junior Suites with a few enticing extras. Guests can store their belongings in the walk-in wardrobe, and relax on the large wrap-around balcony. These suites include a second double bed to accommodate a third and/or fourth guest, which in eight of these suites is in a separate bedroom.
The top cabin on board ambition is the De-Luxe Suite. Featuring a separate bedroom with a second flat-screen TV, this suite is built with space and comfort in mind. As well as including all features of the Premium Suite, it also features a small table seating area.
All suites get special extras, such as priority embarking, complimentary house wine on arrival and fresh fruit delivered daily.
