Jardin del Sol Suites is an adult-only hotel in the Santa Ponsa area of Majorca, this was the second hotel we saw on our visit.
The hotel is set in a stunning location boasting sea views, as it is on a seafront location. When you arrive at reception which is on the 8th floor, you will see the stunning sea views straight away. Then as you go down to various levels you will find the restaurant, bar and swimming pool. There is a choice of bed and breakfast, half board or all-inclusive board basis. When down on the ground level, there is access to the bar and pool area. If you want a go at paddle boarding, they have some for hire. There is a spa and gym facilities, as well as an a la carte restaurant which serves Japanese food.
All the rooms have a sea view, there are many types of rooms, all have air conditioning, a whirlpool bath, a fridge, tea, and coffee facilities. As the hotel chain are trying to be sustainable, where they try to have no plastic waste, there are water fountains along the corridor and in each room is a carafe, that you can use to bring water to your room. Other types of rooms for example superior junior suite have Balinese bed on the balcony where you can relax and watch the sea and world go by.
Then within the hotel there is another area called, Star Prestige, this is where there is another reception and access to sea view suites, prestige junior suites, premium sea view suites with terrace, swim-up junior suites or junior suites with ocean terrace or even penthouse junior suite. These rooms have areas which have a hot tub, sun beds as well as Balinese bed where you can rest and relax and have access to exclusive facilities, such as an exclusive Prestige area, room service, bathrobe and slippers rooftop rooms with outdoor whirlpool tub, loungers, and luxury service. Within this area you have your own reception, bar area and swimming pool. However, for meals, you are in the hotel's only restaurant with other guests.
Having tried the restaurant for lunch with a table outside overlooking the bay, there was plenty of choice for food. The hot food was labelled should you have an allergy or intolerance like coeliac, you could request bread, for the vegan option they had labels showing the food and the ingredients. The restaurant was spacious and there was plenty of choice even at lunchtime.
