Secrets Moxche
Upon arrival in Mexico after a comfortable flight, we made our way to Playa Del Carmen. Our first hotel was the stunning - Secrets Moxche - Playa Del Carmen, where I stayed for two nights. My suite was huge and had a king-size bed, large tv, rain shower and balcony with a jacuzzi bath.
The view from my suite was amazing, directly facing the sea. The resort grounds had beautiful pools surrounded by lush plants. The choice of restaurants was incredible... in-fact there are 11 different dining options including, French, Italian, Mexican, Asian and Japanese. We were preferred guests and enjoyed Preferred Club Privileges including exclusive access to the Observatory rooftop, which includes a restaurant, bar and infinity pool, a Concierge service and a pillow menu.
The daily continental breakfast and hot and cold canapes served in the afternoon were just amazing and exceeded my expectations. The tour of the hotel showed how carefully planned this resort was. Everything just seemed to flow and I felt relaxed and calm the moment I arrived.
Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya
Our next hotel - Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya - This hotel has a truly romantic tale. A beautiful Princess was banished by ancient Spaniards and regional Mayans travelled from far and wide to catch a glimpse of her in the land known as Paradise of the Beautiful.
Years later this gorgeous resort was dedicated to an architect's wife, La Bonita. It certainly does not disappoint. Every painting and ornament has been collected to showcase this extraordinary story.
Dreams Sapphire Resort, Riviera Cancun and Dreams Tulum
After a sumptuous lunch, it was off for a site inspection of Dreams Sapphire Resort another gorgeous hotel for all the family. The sports and games room offered all you could wish for to keep those teenagers occupied.
We also visited Dreams Riviera Cancun and Dreams Tulum and I was happy to see that although each has its unique style to showcase the resort it is in, they have lots of facilities for the whole family. A huge choice of bars and restaurants and the suites are top-class.
Secrets Akumal
Secrets Akumal - Riviera Maya - where I stayed for the next two nights. Nine dining options including French, Pan-Asian, the Seaside Grill and Coco Cafe were on offer and so again the choice was unbelievable. This resort was one of my favourites. The suite was amazing the beach and spa were out of this world!
Zoetry Villa Rolandi
Zoetry Villa Rolandi, is a luxurious boutique resort located on Isla Mujeres. A short boat ride took us across to this beautiful island and after a look around we enjoyed a delicious lunch. The resort was unique, very quiet and very relaxed. It was smaller than I had expected but that only added to the charm. Some famous faces were showcased at the reception and I expect they did feel on holiday and away from the crowds just by taking a boat over to this magnificent island.
The resorts I've seen were absolutely amazing and surpassed all expectations. Whilst some are focused on families, the standard, choice of restaurants, bars and facilities were truly outstanding. I can highly recommend these resorts, so if you are thinking of Mexico for a family holiday or maybe a couple's getaway, please make an appointment to see me to hear more!
