I have been fortunate enough to visit the beautiful ship Bolette from the Fred Olsen fleet in Southampton. What a stunning ship. Smaller than I imagined but truly beautiful. As soon as you get onboard you can see the attention to detail & the artwork throughout is amazing. Every area is different… But all equally classy. We had an amazing Hi-Tea & a wonderful tour of the whole ship including The Bridge. The captain was very obliging & showed us the tech of this ship … including how it can spin 360 degrees on the spot… very handy if you want to see something from all sides & also easy to nip into little places for a better view. mind-blowing.
The tour continued to the cabins... And they didn’t disappoint at all. Even the single & inside cabins were very stylish & when we saw the superior suites it was hard to leave. Very spacious & extremely beautiful throughout. So many different levels of cabins to choose from. We then followed our tour to The Spa... What a relaxing beautiful space. From hot tub, and heated tiled loungers to an amazing hair salon & beauty room to a luxurious treatment area. If that wasn’t enough there is a very large Gym & fitness suite. Somewhere to use up some of those calories from the fine dining. The top deck was a surprise... The roof was covered but could be totally retracted in the warmer months so you could use the pool in all weathers.
We then had a lovely 3-course lunch. I was previously told how wonderful Fred Olsen's dining is & I wasn’t disappointed. The choices were enough to please anyone & all looked & tasted amazing. After a visit to the show area & stage, we headed for a talk by Fred Olsen's team & then sadly our day trip was complete. But not for long as I was blown away by this small but beautiful ship. Great things come in smaller packages. Until the next time Bolette.
