As a travel agent, I’m fortunate enough to visit some incredible cruise ships, but my recent day onboard Oceania Vista in Portland was one that really stood out.

From the moment I stepped aboard, there was a real sense of elegance about the ship. The crew were welcoming and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed. One thing that immediately impressed me was the amount of space onboard. Although Vista is similar in size to many larger cruise ships, she carries far fewer guests, which means the ship never feels busy or overcrowded.
After arriving, my colleague and I enjoyed a refreshment while attending a presentation about Oceania Cruises and what sets the brand apart. I was particularly struck by the adults-only branding.

We then set off on a tour of the ship, visiting a range of veranda staterooms and suites. Every cabin we saw was beautiful with modern decor plenty of space and thoughtful touches throughout. It didn't take long for me to start imagining myself being onboard.

The public spaces are stylish and contemporary yet still feel warm and welcoming. There are plenty of lounges and comfortable seating areas, giving guests lots of choice when it comes to relaxing onboard with even a lovely library.
A shopping area with small boutique shops .....I even discovered the luxury watch boutique featuring Rolex, although I resisted the temptation to make a purchase!

Oceania Cruises are well known for its food, so I was particularly looking forward to lunch. We dined in the stunning Grand Dining Room, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The quality of the food was excellent, beautifully presented and full of flavour. Combined with good service and a glass of wine, it was one of the best meals I've had during a ship visit.

We also spent some time on the pool deck, which was another lovely area. With spacious cabanas, comfortable sun loungers and plenty of room to spread out, it felt more like a luxury resort than a cruise ship. Even on a busy sailing, I can imagine it would be easy to find a peaceful spot to sit back and enjoy the views.
Overall, Oceania Vista left a fantastic impression. The combination of excellent dining, spacious surroundings, beautiful accommodation and great service made this cruise experience one I find at the top of my list.

Since being back on shore, I have been looking to book my own holiday! If you're looking for an adult-only cruise with exceptional food, attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere, Oceania Cruises should definitely be on your list.
