What a wonderful time we all had onboard Ambassador's, Ambition Cruise ship on a 2-night taster from Bristol to East Tilbury in November. Having not been on a cruise ship before I was pleasantly surprised at the number of staff and how attentive they all were, they could not do enough for us. From the moment we arrived at the carpark & boarding, the staff were all smiles and very helpful.
For the first evening we ate in Saffron, which is a speciality Asian restaurant the food was so delicious & authentic, the standards in the restaurant were exceptionally high, the staff took pride in serving us and keeping our drinks topped up without needing to be prompted.
On day two we used the Green Sea Spa, which was beautifully laid out, had an extensive option of treatments very clean and the aroma was especially inviting. The staff were extremely attentive, organised robes and refreshments, we were well looked after and catered for.
After dinner we headed to the Cavern for a night of fun & lots of laughter with my first-time partying at the silent disco. The bar staff were fantastic in organising all the headsets and showing how it all works. It was table service which was nice not to have to worry about going to the bar.
My favourite breakfast was served at The Buckingham. Stunning spacious restaurant, with an array of things for breakfast & plenty of staff available if you needed anything extra. I had 2 eggs cooked exactly how are asked for them. I couldn't fault the service and all the food stations were really clean & the food very fresh.
I had an inside cabin with no window, which was strange at first but it was so well-presented and very clean I soon got over that. The beds were very comfortable and I slept well too. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of fresh towels & toiletries. I liked that you had an itinerary of your trip in the cabin and all the information about the facilities available onboard. The cabin attendant who cleaned the room was very friendly & efficient.
The customer service throughout the trip remained consistent, even on the coach back to Bristol the driver was very friendly had a great sense of humour. Thank you, Ambassador, 10 out of 10 for customer service.
