I recently had the pleasure of spending the day onboard Cunard's iconic Queen Mary 2, and what a fantastic experience it was.
The day began by meeting with the Cunard team and my fellow travel agents before making our way to the cruise terminal for our transfer to the QE2 Terminal, where our stunning ship awaited. From the moment we stepped onboard, we were made to feel incredibly welcome, with delicious refreshments and pastries setting the tone for the day ahead.
We were taken on a comprehensive tour of the ship, exploring everything from the various cabin grades and luxurious suites to the many social spaces onboard. We visited the ship's impressive selection of restaurants and bars, admired the beautiful deck spaces, and took a look at the swimming pools and relaxation areas. We also had the opportunity to explore the spa facilities and the enormous gym, both of which were incredibly impressive.
One of the biggest surprises for me was the onboard library. It was a beautiful, tranquil space with cosy seating areas and reading nooks perfect for whiling away a few hours at sea. I also thoroughly enjoyed browsing the Fine Art Gallery, which featured an incredible range of artwork, including pieces from some very well-known artists.
After covering virtually every corner of the ship, we sat down for a well-earned lunch, accompanied by some delicious wines and truly excellent cuisine. It was the perfect opportunity to relax and soak up the elegant atmosphere that Cunard is so well known for.
Before sadly returning to dry land, we spent our final half hour taking in some of the public spaces and even managed to have a look around the nightclub, giving us a glimpse of what life onboard is like long after the sun goes down.
A huge thank you to Cunard for hosting such a wonderful visit and providing a magnificent insight into everything the brand has to offer. A special mention must go to the lovely Lauren from Cunard, whose knowledge, enthusiasm and warm personality made the experience even more enjoyable.
Queen Mary 2 is a truly spectacular ship, blending timeless elegance with modern comfort, and I left feeling incredibly impressed by everything she has to offer.
