I have recently been onboard Oceania Cruises' new ship, VISTA for the day whilst docked in Southampton. Absolutely stunning!
Having cruised with various operators and ship visits, I must say this is my ultimate FAVOURITE. Although a smaller vessel around 1200 guests to 800 crew, it was luxurious, light, airy and spacious and at times looking around the staterooms, I could have been in an ultra-luxury hotel.
What really excited me was the food. I was aware they advertise as "The finest Cuisine at Sea" and this is absolutely true. 8 restaurants to choose from, all open dining and every restaurant on board is complimentary. Lunch was in the Grand Dining room, and I only wish I could have sailed away with the guests to experience the other 7!! Complimentary drinks are included with lunch and dinner.
VISTA also has a state-of-the art teaching kitchen with professional chefs. What a view! with floor to ceiling windows and if you should wish, take the opportunity to enjoy the food you have prepared and cooked.
On touring the ship, I was pleasantly surprised to see an Artist Loft, like everything on VISTA very professional and a Digital Centre offering as much help and tips as possible. There was so much space and nowhere felt too busy or crowded.
The accommodation did not disappoint, again the best I have seen. From the Owner's Suite which was like an apartment to my favourite the Oceania Suite. All the accommodation had more than enough storage space which is sometimes missing on ships. If I get the opportunity to sail with them, which I hope to in the future, I could take as much luggage as I wish without worrying about wardrobe space.
I only had a day onboard Oceania VISTA but have not stopped talking about it to family, friends, and customers. If you fancy something different from your usual cruise or holiday and like wonderful food, fantastic accommodation and lots of different destinations, please contact me and let me share my experience with you...
