River cruise in style - whether you’re looking to cruise the River Rhine or Danube, the MS Jane Austen is hard to beat on luxury and elegance. From the marbled floored lobby to the floor to ceiling windows in the suites, it's the perfect setting to enjoy your next river cruise.
I was lucky enough to be invited by Riviera Travel for lunch on their 5 star river cruise ship. I’ve cruised on ocean liners but this ship was really something else, here’s why…
1. If you loved the MS Lord Byron, the MS Jane Austen is its identical twin – 5 star and brand new this year.
2. Elegant sophistication! From the marble-floored lobby to the stylish furnishings, this ship sets the standard that other vessels aspire to. Soft furnishings immediately put you at ease and the lounge was spacious and relaxing.
3. We then began our tour of the ship including the large sun deck with its own plunge pool and sunbeds – luxury!
4. The cabins did not disappoint as the subtle, chic ambience followed through with all the character you would expect from this truly 5 star ship. I would definitely recommend upgrading to a suite, which are larger and have floor to ceiling windows so that you can lie in bed and literally watch the world sail by.
5. The dining room was our next stop where we ate like kings and queens! A choice of starter, soup, main, dessert and coffee was served and really was first class.
MS Jane Austen is cruising the Rhine and the Danube, as well as Bruges and Amsterdam in 2016 – give us a call or drop by one of our shops to discuss your trip.
You can also join us on 23rd September in Monmouth for a cup of tea and a talk about Riveria Travel's river cruises. Call us on 01600 715736 to be added to the guest list.
