Day 1: Thompson's Bay

Arrive in Durban where you will be met and driven the 30 minutes along the Dolphin Coast to Sala Beach House where you will be staying for the next three nights. We've included transfers for you, but if you wish to rent a car, we can arrange this too. Sala Beach is a charming boutique property with a sense of place, plenty of personal service and a prime location overlooking the sandy beach of Thompson's Bay. Overnight Sala Beach House.

Days 2 & 3: Thompson's Bay

Two full days to explore. Sala Beach House has private access to the beach where you can explore the marine-rich tidal pools. Take a walk along the coastal trail, where from June to November humpback whales can often be seen off shore. The Ballito Lifestyle Centre and Ballito Junction Mall are close by if you want to do some shopping or you may want to head to the spa for a massage or sound bath experience. Day 4: MfulaWozi Wilderness Game Reserve

Today you will travel four hours inland to the MfulaWozi Wilderness Game Reserve to spend three nights on safari. We’ve chosen Biyela Lodge, a stylish property where you can look out at the dramatic landscapes from your private plunge pool. MfulaWozi Wilderness Game Reserve forms part of the greater Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, one of Africa's oldest reserves and where conservation and the preservation of the Zulu culture has been the focus. Days 5 & 6: MfulaWozi Wilderness Game Reserve

Biyela is a place to unwind and to connect with nature on game drives and wilderness walks. Beyond your wildlife encounters, you can learn more about the fascinating Zulu culture as many of the staff are from the local Biyela community. Overnight Biyela Lodge.

Day 7: Depart

After breakfast and, if time allows, a final morning game drive return to Durban for your onward connections.
