Full Itinerary

Day 1: UK - Cairo

Titan Travel's nationwide shared chauffeur service collects you from home for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, we transfer to our hotel.

Day 2: Giza

A short drive from the hotel brings the Pyramids of Giza into view. Their purpose and construction continue to fascinate historians, particularly the precision of their scale and alignment. Accompanied by an Egyptologist, explore the Great Pyramid of Khufu, built from an estimated two million stone blocks, alongside the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Nearby, the Great Sphinx keeps silent watch over the plateau.

Day 3:Cairo

Today is free in Cairo, with the opportunity to join one of the guided optional excursions to the Egyptian Museum and Citadel.

Day 4: Alexandria

A long but rewarding day uncovers Alexandria, Egypt’s historic Mediterranean port city. Founded by Alexander the Great, it later became a centre of power under Cleopatra, whose palace now lies beneath the harbour. Alexandria was home to the legendary Pharos Lighthouse and the Great Library, among the most famous landmarks of the ancient world. Explore the Graeco-Roman Museum and the Modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Day 5: Cairo - Luxor

A morning flight south leads to Luxor, gateway to Upper Egypt and the start of the Nile cruise. On arrival explore the East Bank with visits to Luxor Temple, a ceremonial centre of the New Kingdom, and the vast Karnak Temple complex, covering more than 100 hectares. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinxes and step into the Hypostyle Hall, where 134 massive columns rise in precise geometric rows, each covered in detailed hieroglyphs. Board your ship for lunch, and enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Day 6: Luxor - Edfu

Begin the day on the West Bank of Luxor, home to the Valley of the Kings, burial ground of New Kingdom pharaohs from the 16th to 11th centuries BC. Discover notable tombs, with the option to enter Tutankhamun’s famous tomb (extra charge). Continue to the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, built into dramatic cliffs, and see the Colossi of Memnon, towering statues that have stood for millennia, before returning to the ship to sail to Edfu.

Day 7: Edfu- Aswan

Sail at leisure to Aswan.

Day 8: Aswan - Temple of Philae

Visits today highlight both ancient and modern engineering. Start with the Aswan High Dam, a 20th-century feat of construction, then explore the Temple of Philae, carefully relocated after the dam’s completion and dedicated to the goddess Isis. In the afternoon, visit the Nubian Museum, which showcases the history, art and culture of Nubia.

Day 9: Aswan

Spend the morning at leisure in Aswan, a city shaped by trade, granite quarries and Nubian heritage. Alternatively, take an optional excursion to Abu Simbel, the temples of Ramses II, relocated in the 1960s to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. In the afternoon, enjoy a felucca sail along the Nile.

Day 10: Aswan - Edfu

Sail through the afternoon, observing villages and fields along the Nile’s banks before arriving at Kom Ombo. After a visit to the double temple, continue sailing to Edfu.

Day 11: Luxor

Enjoy a morning at leisure, or join an optional excursion to Edfu Temple before returning to Luxor for an afternoon sailing.

Day 12: Luxor - UK

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. Upon arrival, your vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
