Full Itinerary
Day 1: Launceston
Set in the wide valleys formed by the south and north of Esk Rivers, Launceston is a picturesque place to discover. Tasmania's second major city, it's full of vibrant culture, including delicious food and wines, in a beautiful scenic setting.
Day 2: St Helens
Next stop on your drive is St Helens, well known for its golden beaches and lovely scenery. Overlooking pretty Georges Bay, you can gaze out over chartered fishing boats, explore lush forests, uncover underwater caves and search for colourful sea life.
Day 3 & 4: Freycinet National Park
The next two days will be perfect for exploring the stunning Freycinet National Park. With spectacular walks, secluded beaches, wildlife spotting and a pass overlooking Wineglass Bay, it's easy to loose track of time here.
Day 5: Port Arthur
Port Arthur is a beautiful place, with a chilling past. This World Heritage listed Australian Convict site has plenty of well preserved historical buildings and cottages, as well as a touching memorial to the Port Arthur massacre.

Day 6: Hobart
Just a short drive from Port Arthur, you'll find the wonderful harbour city of Hobart.
Day 7: Hobart
Today you drop your hire car off at the airport and journey home, or continue exploring more of Australia.

A gentle two hour walk will take you through the Freycinet National Park to the magnificent Wineglass Bay. You really have to see it to believe it. White powdered sands and brightly coloured granite peaks do leave you wondering how this beautiful natural environment could ever be surpassed!
