Day 2: Granada
Granada is an historic and distinctive city with splendid Renaissance, Baroque and Neo-Classical monuments, which have inspired travellers over the years. Today we take a tour of the spectacular Alhambra Palace, known as the ‘Red Castle’ as a result of the russet-coloured stone used in its construction. The only medieval Arab palace still in existence, it is recognised as one of the Wonders of the World. We also visit the exquisite Generalife Gardens, home of the summer palace. Please note there is a considerable amount of walking involved today.

Day 4: Baeza - Cordoba
This morning we depart Baeza and our first stop is at an olive oil museum to discover the production process of this vital ingredient, which is highly used in Spanish cuisine. We continue to Cordoba, birthplace of the philosophers Seneca and Maimonides, and one of Europe’s most important cities in the 11th century, where Muslims, Christians and Jews lived in harmony. Its distinctive landmark, the Mezquita, is one of the largest mosque-cathedrals in the world and remains one of the great wonders and curiosities of Spain. Some of the most beautiful churches and squares can be found in the oldest part of the city, where the styles of Gothic and Mudejar come together. The origins of Cordoba are almost lost in antiquity, and today we give you a guided tour of this historic city including a visit to the Mezquita.
