Preskil Beach Resort

Overview

Preskil Beach Resort

Mauritius

Star Rating: ****

Preskil Beach Resort is set within 3.5 hectares of lush tropical Mauritius gardens on a secluded peninsula with beautiful white sandy beaches. This luxury resort borders a sparkling lagoon and affords a magnificent view to I'lle aux Aigrettes, a unique bird sanctuary.

The atmosphere around the resort is friendly and relaxed. A choice of dining includes the large indoor buffet restaurant, Spices, and two à la carte restaurants: Tapas Grill and Beach Bar on the beachfront, and Charka Steakhouse & Bar for some of the best steaks around. There’s a whole host of free watersports including waterskiing, windsurfing, canoeing, pedal boats, sail boats, snorkelling outings and glass-bottom boat trips near Ile aux Aigrettes. On land, there’s tennis and bike hire, and if you want to get out and explore more of Mauritius then scooters and car rentals are available.

I was lucky enough to visit Mauritius recently and it’s a wonderful mix of African, Indian, European and Oriental influences. This island is more than just white sands, although there is no denying that it is home to some of the most stunning beaches in the world. Sugar cane fields give way to lush mountains rising from crystal clear waters.
