Travel back in time to the Golden Age of Rail Travel on board arguably the most famous train of all - the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. There is not a moment during this most sought-after rail experience when you will not feel the nostalgia that radiates from every inch of the beautifully-restored Pullman carriages. The final leg of the journey between Paris and London is operated by Eurostar (standard of travel subject to availability). Day 1 - London to Venice by air

Depart UK on your flight to Venice (rail options available at a supplement). On arrival you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel by private water taxi for a 3-night stay.

Day 2-3 - Venice

Explore Venice at your own pace, taking your time to wander the many watery byways and quaint streets of the “Floating City”. If you would like us to arrange a private gondola trip or a skip-the line pass for the many attractions in the city please just ask our friendly team!

Day 4 - Venice > Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

You will be transferred to the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for your sensational overnight journey - to step aboard is to step back in time. In the evening be sure to dress to impress and savour culinary delights in the most elegant surroundings imaginable, while your steward converts your bijou cabin into cosy sleeping berths ready for you to settle in between your luxurious sheets and listen to the rhythmic “clickety-clack” of the vintage carriages as the train continues its voyage throughout the night.

Day 5 - Venice Simplon-Orient-Express > Eurostar back to London

A breakfast of fresh coffee, fruits, warm breads and pastries is served to your cabin at a time that suits you before you disembark at Paris Austerlitz and make your way to Paris Gare du Nord for your return journey home by Eurostar to London St Pancras - or extend your holiday with a stay in Paris on request.
