Bars & Restaurants

• Italy’s gastronomy is not world-famous for nothing! After all, this is the country that has given us pastas galore, pizza to die for and creamy, melt-in-your-mouth risottos. Grand Hotel Royal’s guests are surely in for a culinary treat when they enjoy the regional specialities served in the beautiful, on-site restaurant.
• Cocktail Bar degli Arazzi - The Lobby bar is open from 6pm to 12:30am and has an extensive drinks menu. Please note that the hotel requests that beach wear is not to be worn in the lobby bar.
• Restaurant Grand Hotel Royal - Included With: Bed & Breakfast, Half Board - Dress Code: Gentlemen are required to wear long trousers in the evening. Serves a delicious hot and cold buffet breakfast with fresh fruit and pastries. In the evening enjoy superb Tuscan food either in the grand restaurant with an impressive domed ceiling or during the summer months; on the covered terrace, where guests can also enjoy a light lunch between May and September. During the summer, piano music is played twice a week during dinner. Open 7.30am - 10.30am, 12pm - 4pm (May - September) and 7.30pm - 9.30pm

• Pool Bar - The poolside bar located in the gardens is open from 10am to 6pm, is fully stocked with an extensive menu of drinks. It also offers a light lunch menu from 12 – 4pm, with daily specials from the chef.

  Beach & Pools

• Make a splash either in the Grand Hotel Royal’s freshwater pool or down on the private beach. There’s nothing like taking a refreshing dip after a long day of sightseeing (or sometimes, instead of!), so if you’re looking to cool off amid lush gardens or golden sands then you’ve come to the right place.
• Swimming Pool - Located in the hotel's lush gardens, the fresh water swimming pool measures 12 x 25 metres and is equipped with sun loungers and parasols. Normally in use 01 May - 30 September from 10am - 6pm. With poolside bar and towel service.

• Beach - Beach charges are included (normally in use 01 May - 30 September). Guests will receive 1 umbrella and 2 deck chairs per room - sunbeds are available at an extra charge, payable locally

  Activities & Entertainment

• Italy’s cultural legacy precedes it, so those who are looking to imbibe in some culture during their break will not be disappointed. Viareggio is famous for being packed with stunning Art Deco architecture, as well as being just a short train ride from the Cinqueterre, Florence, Pisa and Lucca. We say grab a bike, get in the saddle and explore!
• Bicycle Hire - Payable locally, approx. €5 per hour or €10 per day

Twin Side Sea View Room - These rooms have a large window with views over the Viareggio streets and a side view of the sea. They feature either twin beds or a double bed.
