Classic Rail Circle
Take a journey of discovery through the Rockies and the Cascade and Coastal Mountains as you experience three of the iconic Rocky Mountaineer’s train journeys and explore Vancouver, Whistler and the alpine retreat of Jasper.
Begin with a six-hour sightseeing tour of Vancouver, before crossing the Lions Gate Bridge on the Rocky Mountaineer into the Coast Mountains. Experience the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure and Grouse Mountain.
Take the Rocky Mountaineer on a breath taking journey to Quesnel, past the Coast Mountains, Howe Sound, Brandywine Falls, Mount Garibaldi and Cheakamus Canyon.
From Quesnel follow Fraser River and travel east through the British Columbia forests. Enter the Rocky Mountain Trench and pass through the towering rockies up to Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.
Enjoy a highlights tour of Jasper National Park including the many natural attractions, rugged peaks, and perhaps catch a glimpse of some of the many creatures that call the park home.
On your journey through Kamloops back to Vancouver you'll pass dramatic scenery including Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass, and the journey along the North Thompson River, as well as the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon.

Full Itinerary
Day 1: London - Arrive Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic city on your own.
Overnight - Standard: Holiday Inn Downtown/ Superior: Fairmont Waterfront
Day 2: Vancouver Sightseeing
Enjoy a six-hour sightseeing tour; cross the Lions Gate Bridge and into the Coast Mountains. Experience the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Treetops Adventure, discovering the coastal temperate rainforest and British Columbia’s First Nations heritage. Visit Grouse Mountain (gondola admission included) and take in breathtaking views of the city and mountains.

Day 3: Vancouver - Whistler
Rocky Mountaineer takes you on a breath-taking rail journey. Highlights include spectacular views of Howe Sound, the Coast Mountains, Brandywine Falls, Mount Garibaldi and Cheakamus Canyon. Tour Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre and enjoy a BBQ lunch. The rest of the day is free.
Overnight - Standard: Delta Whistler/ Superior: Fairmont Chateau Whistler Meals - Breakfast & Lunch
Day 4: Whistler - Quesnel
Take the Rocky Mountaineer to Quesnel, gateway to the North Cariboo. Highlights of the journey include the shorelines of Anderson Lake and glacier-fed Seton Lake, sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon, and the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer follows the banks of the Fraser River into Quesnel.

Day 5: Quesnel - Jasper
The Rocky Mountaineer follows Fraser River then travels east through the northern British Columbia forests. Enter the Rocky Mountain Trench where you are surrounded by the steeply rising Rocky Mountains to the north and the Cariboo Mountains to the south. Continue climbing past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, through Yellowhead Pass to Jasper.
Overnight - Standard: Lobstick Lodge/ Superior: Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Meals - Breakfast & Lunch
Day 6: Jasper Highlights Tour
Jasper National Park is a World Heritage Site and Canada’s largest National Park. Today enjoy a short scenic tour including the many natural attractions, rugged peaks, and perhaps catch a glimpse of some of the many creatures that call the park home. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore Jasper.
Overnight - Standard: Lobstick Lodge/ Superior: Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
Day 7: Jasper - Kamloops
Take the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper to Kamloops, in the heart of the British Columbia interior. Travel through the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass, and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops.
Overnight - moderate grade hotel Meals - Breakfast & Lunch
Day 8: Kamloops - Vancouver
On today’s Rocky Mountaineer journey you’ll see dramatic changes in scenery. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon.
Overnight - Standard: Holiday Inn Downtown/ Superior: Fairmont Waterfront Meals - Breakfast & Lunch
Day 9: Depart Vancouver - London
Your tour ends on checkout from your hotel. Transfer to the airport for your returtn flight home.
