The province of Newfoundland & Labrador is the most easterly in Canada and is made up of the island of Newfoundland and the continental region of Labrador. Starting in Halifax, this tour includes an overnight ferry crossing to Port-aux-Basques in Newfoundland & Labrador to enjoy the many significant historical and natural sites including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Gros Morne National Park and L’Anse aux Meadows where the first Europeans, the Vikings, reached the new world. Along the way, you’ll stand at the northern-most tip of the island of Newfoundland and journey to the eastern-most point in North America. Included boat tours (weather permitting) give the opportunity to see whales, seabirds and, depending on the time of year, icebergs.
