Full Itinerary

Day 1: UK - Granada

Today, you’ll fly to Malaga and transfer to Granada where the snow-capped Sierra Nevada peaks frame the breathtaking Alhambra Palace. From the soul-stirring flamenco caves of Sacromonte to its sun-drenched plazas, this historic city offers a captivating blend of Moorish magic and vibrant Spanish culture. After time to settle in, you’ll get to know one another better over a welcome drink before dinner.

Day 2: Granada

You can’t visit this region of Spain without a trip to stunning Alhambra, a palace and fortress complex standing high on a hill overlooking Granada. Your tour not only includes the grand halls, patios and fountains of the palace but also the lovely Generalife Gardens. After a short stroll with your Holiday Director, you’ll have free time to make your own discoveries. This evening, you may wish to join our optional excursion to the renowned and historic Albayzín and Sacromonte districts of Granada, to watch an authentic flamenco performance.

Day 3: Granada - Cordoba - Seville

Step into the heart of Andalucia today as you’ll discover the majestic Mezquita in Cordoba, an architectural marvel of striped arches that tells the story of Spain’s complex medieval past. Lose yourself in the charming Jewish Quarter, a maze of narrow alleys and hidden courtyards bursting with vibrant flowers and traditional ceramic tiles. From the imposing Roman Bridge to the scent of orange blossoms in the air, Córdoba is a city of unrivalled historical charm. You’ll have some free time for lunch, before boarding your coach and taking the short journey to your next destination, Seville.

Day 4: Day 4 Seville

Seville is the radiant heartbeat of Andalucia, where the world’s largest Gothic Cathedral and its iconic Giralda tower dominate a skyline of orange trees and sun-soaked plazas. Step inside the Real Alcázar, a sublime palace of intricate Mudéjar carvings and sprawling tropical gardens that served as a majestic royal residence for centuries. From the vibrant tapas bars of Santa Cruz to the dazzling architecture of the Plaza de España, Seville offers an unrivalled Spanish experience that is both grand and deeply intimate.

Day 5: Seville - Cadiz - Jerez - Malaga

Today you’ll experience a mix of the salt-air charm of Cadiz and the refined Andalucian heritage of Jerez de la Frontera that is truly one of a kind. Your journey begins by heading south from Seville through the scenic landscapes of the Guadalquivir marshes, before arriving in Cadiz, known as the “Silver Cup” due to its shimmering Atlantic views. During your walk here, you’ll pass through El Populo, the oldest neighbourhood in Europe, admiring the gold-domed Cadiz Cathedral on your way toward the vibrant Plaza de San Juan de Dios, perhaps even stopping at the iconic La Caleta Beach, nestled between two ancient castles.

In Jerez, a walk through its historic centre reveals a city famous for its aristocratic horses, raw flamenco, and deep-rooted sherry culture. Your tour includes a visit to a local winery to see, hear and enjoy a tasting of the sherries famous from this region. After some free time for lunch, you’ll continue your coach journey to Malaga, and your hotel in Benalmadena for the next 3 nights.

Day 6: Malaga

Today you’ll discover one of the oldest cities in the world and the “Capital of the Costa del Sol”, Malaga. A city where 3,000 years of history combines with the chic vitality of the Mediterranean. Famed as the birthplace of artist Picasso, and with a hilltop Alcazaba fortress overlooking the Roman Theatre below, Málaga offers a perfect blend of ancient wonders and refined modern leisure. After your guided tour, there will be time for you to spend at the city’s Picasso Museum before your return to the hotel.

Day 7: Malaga

A free day to enjoy as you wish. You can take some time exploring the beach and marina of Benalmadena that surround your hotel, or maybe you would prefer to take yourself to see more of Malaga city, strolling the marble-paved Calle Larios and enjoying the Mediterranean breeze. Alternatively, you could choose to join your optional excursion to the most famous white-washed, hilltop villages (pueblos blancos) of Andalucia — Ronda & Setenil de las Bodegas.

Perched dramatically atop a sheer limestone plateau, Ronda, known as the “City of Dreams,” is a city that literally teeters on the edge of a 120-metre-deep abyss. The Puente Nuevo bridge is this town’s crowning jewel — an 18th-century stone bridge spanning the massive El Tajo Gorge, connecting the ancient Moorish old town with the “newer” 18th-century quarter.

Then, just a short 20-minute drive from here, lies a village unlike any other in the world. In Setenil, the residents didn’t just build on the mountains — they built into them. Take a wander through Calle Cuevas del Sol and Calle Cuevas de la Sombra, and be astonished as you pass under massive natural rock overhangs serving as the ceilings for homes and bustling tapas bars.

Back at the hotel, you’ll gather for dinner and a chance to reflect with your new friends about this magical week and your discoveries.

Day 8: Malaga - UK
