Full Itinerary

Day 1: Southampton

Day 2-3: At Sea

Day 4: Seville (tours from Cadiz), Spain

Historic, mysterious and romantic, the Spanish city of Cadiz is unlike any other. Founded in about 1100 BC, it is generally accepted as the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in today’s Europe. But for the thin strip connecting it to the mainland to its south, Cadiz is an island of history and architecture that impresses at every turn through the streets of this charming ancient port.

Day 5: At Sea

Day 6: Barcelona, Spain

Delve into the Picasso Museum or Miró Foundation. Take in Gaudi’s rare architectural genius with Parc Güell, Casa Mila and Casa Batlló – and his incredible unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia. Post-sightseeing, take a shady spot in one of Barcelona’s numerous cafés for a dose of Las Ramblas’ charming evening atmosphere of street performers and social city life.

Day 7: Monte Carlo, Monaco

Monte Carlo are two words that are synonymous with luxury and splendour. Lying at the heart of the French Riviera, this tiny principality makes up for its size with its global reputation for glamour. Ostentatious is perhaps too strong a word, but diamonds, lavish yachts and Ferraris are all part of the lifestyle here. As is a flutter at Monte Carlo’s most famous landmark, the Grand Casino.

Day 8: Florence or Pisa (tours from La Spezia),

Tucked into the Ligurian coastline between the cities of Genoa and Pisa, the charming and atmospheric La Spezia is one of Italy’s most important commercial harbours and home to its largest naval base. La Spezia is also the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Cinque Terre, a collection of five fantasy-like coastal villages perched immaculately on the contours of the coastline.

Day 9: Ajaccio, Corsica, France

Ajaccio presents an opportunity to retrace the early footsteps of Napoleon Bonaparte. The house where he was born is rich with Bonaparte family documents and portraits. A remarkable step into history. Ponder the journey that made Napoleon one of Europe’s most notorious leaders. But don't forget to experience Tino Rossi harbour’s pastel façades, brightly painted fishing boats and rustling palms.

Day 10: At Sea

Day 11: Cartagena, Spain

A historic and major naval station located in the Region of Murcia by the Mediterranean coast of southeastern Spain, Cartagena’s multi-faceted beauty is thanks to centuries of often-turbulent change. Cartagena enjoys a unique artistic heritage, with landmarks such as the Roman Theatre, an abundance of Phoenician, Roman, Byzantine and Moorish remains, and many delightful Art Nouveau buildings.

Day 12: Gibraltar

Gibraltar is perhaps best known for The Rock, a 426-feet limestone ridge with sheer drops on its northern and eastern sides. Beyond, Gibraltar’s landscape is rural, diverse, and well worth exploring.

Day 13-14: At Sea

Day 15: Southampton
