Full Itinerary

Day 1: Southampton

Today you will embark your ship in Southamton.

Day 2: At Sea

Day 3: Porto (tours from Leixoes), Portugal

From Leixoes you can visit picture-perfect Porto, and let your inner photographer loose on this city full of great character. Your camera roll will no doubt feature the signature blue and white tiles. Porto’s signature ceramics feature perhaps most beautifully in the exteriors of the Carmo and Capela das Almas churches. Try to fit in the Ribiera district and the iron Dom Luis Bridge.

Day 4 & 5: At Sea

Dat 6: Barcelona, Spain

Delve into the Picasso Museum or Miró Foundation. Take in Gaudi’s rare architectural genius with Parc Güell, Casa Mila and Casa Batlló – and his incredible unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia. Post-sightseeing, take a shady spot in one of Barcelona’s numerous cafés for a dose of Las Ramblas’ charming evening atmosphere of street performers and social city life.

Day 7: Cannes, France

Here on the French Riviera, Cannes is prized for its brilliant beaches, chic boutiques and the elegant nightspots around the La Croisette promenade. A climate that sees 12 hours of sun during summer. Visit the Palais des Festivals, a focal point for the annual throng of film stars, or the nearby La Malmaison hotel, a marvellous 19th-century mansion that welcomes passing visitors to explore.

Here on the French Riviera, Cannes is known for its beaches, chic boutiques and elegant nightspots around La Croisette promenade. It was a sleepy harbour until 1834, when Lord Brougham stayed here on his travels to Italy and began its transformation into a fashionable resort. It’s now home to the famous film festival and the immortalised handprints of A-list movie stars.

Day 8: Rome (tours from Civitavecchia), Italy

A visit to Rome is a genuinely unforgettable experience. Explore legends throughout the ages, including the Vatican and Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Catacombs. Stroll down the Via Veneto or sip cappuccino in the Piazza di Spagna. Italy's ‘Eternal City’ is endlessly fascinating, so make your wish to return as you throw coins into the Trevi Fountain.

Day 9: Alghero, Sardinia

The old port of Alghero has a distinctive Catalan feel that shines through in its old fortifications, most notably in the colourful dome and dominant gothic bell tower of the Church of San Francisco. The legacy of ‘Little Barcelona’ extends to its culinary delights too. Paella features prominently among the charming bars and restaurants you'll find in the maze of charming cobbled streets.

Day 10: At Sea

Day 11: Granada (tours from Malaga), Spain

Malaga is famously Picasso’s birthplace, and its location has attracted explorers, merchants and artists from all over the world, across the centuries. Many left their mark on this cosmopolitan city. North from Malaga is friendly and vibrant Granada, where you’ll find the unique beauty of the Alhambra Palace and Gardens overlooking the city and across to the plains and mountains.

Day 12: Gibraltar

Gibraltar is perhaps best known for The Rock – a giant limestone ridge rising to a huge 426 feet, with sheer drops on the northern and eastern sides. Following suit, much of the landscape of Gibraltar is rural, diverse, and well worth an afternoon of exploring.

Day 13 & 14: At Sea

Day 15: Southampton

Today you will arrive back in Southampton to end your cruise.
