New Zealand is country of breathtaking beauty. It retains a very laid-back pace with both charming towns and vibrant cities. Touring is so easy with car hire or a camper van, as distances are not vast and it really is worth taking time out to visit both the North and South Islands. My top tips: Visit Auckland for its amazing seafood and the stunning Marlborough area for what has to be, in my opinion, the best Sauvignon Blanc in the world.

I love this country for its stunning contrasts - from the bubbling mud pools of Rotorua in the north, to the snow-capped Mount Cook, and the rainforests of the stunning Milford Sound in the south. Crossing Arthurs Pass is quite breathtaking, but the Kea birds are very mischievous, so don’t stop for too long to look at the views! Did you know that New Zealand has the longest place name in the world? “Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateahaumaitawhitiurehaeaturipukakapikimaungahoronu-kupokaiwhenuakitanatahu” Go on – try it!!!

The South Island was my first taste of New Zealand and it certainly didn't disappoint! Whether you're thinking about a self-drive or an escorted tour, as soon as you arrive in the country you can see why it has been the inspiration for so many film makers. As well as the more well trodden paths such as Queenstown and Christchurch, there are some wonderful out of the way places such as Lake Te Anau and Milford Sound. There are plenty of activities to choose from also, so please give me a call and I can put together your perfect itinerary and even show you some of my snap shots!

This has to be one of the world's best destinations offering something for everyone, no matter what age. You can go on wonderfully organised coach tours, which can also be used as a template for self drive tours. Self drive is easy and in my opinion gives you the best option of seeing everything at your own pace. The younger and more adventurous, and even a few of the more mature among us, can be involved in extreme sports including white water rafting, shot over jet boats, bungee jumping and canyon helicopter rides. This is a beautiful country offering so much, combine this with excellent food and wine and it makes for a magical trip.

A tiny country with a lot to offer, New Zealand has something for everyone. Walkers will enjoy Milford Track and train lovers will be amazed by the scenery viewed from the Transalpine from Christchurch to Greymouth on the west coast of South Island. Let me assist you in creating an itinerary perfect for you.

One of my favourite destinations! Nature, scenery and easy driving make New Zealand a top choice for my clients. Top tip: take the walking tour of Napier's art deco streets. Don’t miss: whale watching at Kaikoura

If you’re looking for amazing scenery, great food and friendly people then look no further than New Zealand’s South Island. Essentials include Christchurch, Milford Sound, Dunedin, Lake Teanu and Queenstown. Wildlife, Glaciers, you name it and you can see it on the South Island. Why not try bungee jumping or give the famous Shotover Jet a ride? Hire a motor.

I had always heard that the South Island is renowned for its spectacular scenery and following my recent visit, I could not agree more. Snow capped mountains, glaciers, turquoise rivers, gushing waterfalls and amazing fjords. The South Island has it all. I toured around the South Island taking in many sights – hiring a motor home and exploring for yourself is a great way to do it. Whilst in Queenstown why not try a bungee jump or a shotover jet boat ride like Wills and Kate did? You may even get the same boat driver as the Duke and Duchess – I did (or so he claimed!)
