I have stayed on many Greek islands and I would definitely recommend island-hopping as a lovely way to get a taster of the different islands. It's hard to say which is my favorite, as each island has its own magic. Hiring a car in Crete is a great way to find some of the hidden smaller beaches. I did lots of shopping in Rhodes Town and rode a donkey to the acropolis in Lindos. Seeing the loggerhead turtles was very special in Zante and a boat trip to Smugglers Cove is a must. Corfu had some beautiful beaches and from Kos, I took a trip to Turkey for the day. The Greek people are very friendly and love to see you enjoy their local cuisine. Meze give you a taster with a variety of small dishes and try washing it down with the local Ouzo for a true Greek experience.

Crete is the largest of the Greek islands and I have been lucky enough to have stayed in several resorts here. Crete has fabulous landscapes and beaches and is full of history. A visit to the historical Minoan sites, such as the Palace of Knossos, is a must. There are many lovely resorts such as Chania, Crete's own mini Venice, and Rethymnon. If you would like to know more about this beautiful island please give me a call. Halkidiki is a beautiful summer destination, but away from the beaches Thessaloniki is well worth a visit. Thassos is the most northerly Greek island, just six miles from the mainland. The main draw here is its wonderful archaeological sites, but you can do lots of activities such as horse riding, watersports and walking. Corfu Town is a great place for sightseeing the old town has Venetian fortresses and a distinct Italian feel. The are some lovely resorts hers such as Sidari, Paleokastritsa and Dassia. There is plenty to do with some lovely beaches. Please give me a call if you would like some more information on any of these Greek treasures.

So many islands and some with huge contrasts. Having visted most of them, from the small traditional islands such as Mykonos to the larger such as Crete, I will be able to advise which would be the most suitable for you.

One of my favourite Greek Islands, Zante is a great place to holiday and I can tell you where to find the undiscovered treasures of this island. There are hotels galore and beaches with golden sand. Explore the relics of the Byzantium Museums and enjoy dining at simple plaid covered tables at Malanos, a family-run taverna popular with locals and tourists alike.

The Mediterranean is renowned for its fantastic climate, delightful beaches, relaxed way of life, fascinating archaeological finds, thousands of historic monuments, delightful traditional villages, popular resorts, local tavernas, exquisite cuisine, exceptional seafood and delicious wines - this is Greece. Choose between a cultural city break to Athens, a romantic holiday to the volcanic island of Santorini, a peaceful family holiday on the peninsulas, a visit to the larger islands of Crete or Rhodes or the smaller authentic ones such as Lemnos and Ithaca - not forgetting Skopelos ofMamma Mia fame. There is something for everyone.

I have been to many places in Greece but Skiathos holds a very special place in my heart. I am a fan of all things Greek including the wide variety of accommodation, the warm hospitality and, most of all, the food. What could be better; a fresh Greek salad, the house special that's been lovingly prepared all day and a cold glass of retsina? Yamas!

With some lively, young resorts like Kardamena, as well as some peaceful and family orientated spots like Psalidi, Kos has something for all ages. Top tip: hire a car and vist the hilltop village of Zia on Kos - have dinner and watch the sunset from taverna Oromedon.
