Thebes in ancient Egyptian. Luxor is often described as the world’s greatest open air museum. It is also known as ‘the city of the thousand doors’, which reflects the number of doors of its many temples, so if you are staying in this richly historical city for a short time, you may need to pick what you want to see, otherwise you will be “templed out”!

The Valley of the Kings and the Queens, Karnak temple, Hatshepsut temple, Luxor temple, Nefertary’s tomb and the famous Tutankhamen tomb are the highlights. Without a doubt it is a city with a pure Pharaonic atmosphere.

A luxurious and colonial hotel, it has a privileged and superb location in Luxor (the city of the most famous Pharaonic monuments such as Karnak temple and King Tut’s tomb) offers a magnificent and dream cultural holiday.

I have visited the hotel number of times and I can assure you there is nothing as elegant and luxurious as this hotel in Luxor…a red thick carpet will lead you up the stairs to the hotel entrance and once you enter you will feel that you have been sent back to Egypt’s golden age. Churchill suite is the one to stay in like a king – original decoration, huge terrace - can entertain 10 guests!

Staying in this hotel is like staying in a museum, even along the corridor antiques are everywhere!

The hotel suits, singles or couples and the friendly staff will make your family stay a perfect one.

So which room or suite would you choose? Jane Fonda’s or the Former French President George Clemenceau’s.
