Having returned from a few days aboard Celebrity Cruises newest ship, Celebrity Beyond, I am excited to recommend their luxury, premium ship. Celebrity Beyond is designed to spark your imagination and your curiosity. There is so much to see and do aboard and this is what makes Celebrity Beyond so special.
Celebrity Beyond is luxurious, innovative and includes so much for those who sail. Following on from the last two years of the pandemic, seeing hundreds of ships laid up around the world it was an emotional time to be part of the celebration as Celebrity Beyond prepared for its maiden voyage.
This new ship has space and grandeur… the Grand Plaza frames the interior of the ship taking you from day to night with a huge chandelier. The rooftop Garden is another great use of space as it flows along the top deck offering little nooks to escape and also perfect spots to enjoy breath-taking views.
The Grand Plaza is where I began and ended every evening! You can enjoy a delicious martini at the martini bar whilst listening to bands as you warm up for the night ahead. At 8:20pm and 10:20pm the chandelier that frames the Grand Plaza puts on a spectacular show to music… definitely worth fitting in a viewing.
The theatre is spectacular, with state-of-the-art technology, the productions were incredible. I was able to watch their production of Elements and Arte, the latter incorporating mind bending special effects that were mesmerising. I watched in complete comfort, one evening right at the front on the ground floor and the second from the upper floor tier - both were the perfect seats!
Stepping through to Eden was such an experience. Eden transforms throughout the day, here you can connect with the wider world and with all of the floor to ceiling glass your view will be stunning. You can grab something to eat in the Eden Cafe, dine in the Eden Restaurant or just chill in the Eden Bar.
The Magic Carpet is as intriguing as it sounds! It is a cantilevered, floating platform that reaches heights of 13 stories above sea level. It’s so unique and designed with comfortable seating, a full bar, and space for live music performances.
The Solarium is one of the biggest that I have seen at sea… always a sun lounger to grab and relax on. Take a dip in one of the pools, wrap yourself up in a fluffy towel and pamper yourself… you deserve it! The solarium has a dome covering so perfect in any weather.
Lastly, I visited ‘The Club’. This evening venue has intimate tables for two along with a social late-night vibe. The entertainment is immersive and intriguing, definitely one for leaving your wanting for more!
There has been plenty of doom and gloom over the last two years, so it was great to be aboard the ship and enjoy the heart and soul of Celebrity Cruises - their crew. 98% of their crew, across the whole fleet, returned after Covid-19, this is the highest return of all the cruise companies and it’s easy to understand. The crew are personable, talented, skilled and so happy to be back doing the job that they loved, many of them have worked for Celebrity Cruises for years.
