Day 1 – Fly to Saigon
Fly overnight to Saigon
Day 2 – Arrive and Explore
On arrival you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3 – Discover Saigon
Get to grips with the horrors of guerrilla warfare at the astonishing Cu Chi Tunnels before returning to Saignon. Experience Vietnam's colonial past at Notre Dame Cathedral and the central Post Office.
Day 4 – Mekong Delta Cruise
Journey to Ben tre to take a cruise on the Mekong River. Paddle through the maze of palm-lined canals and get a glimpse of daily life on the Mekong Delta.
Day 5 – Journey to Hoi An
Fly to Danang and transfer to Hoi An stopping en route at the Marble Mountains. Wander the willfully laid back streets of charming Hoi An on a walking tour in the afternoon.
Day 6 – Tra Que Village
Take a drive through the lush green countryside to Tra Que; a farming community that supplies local businesses with produce. Spend the afternoon at nearby Cua Dai beach or back in Hoi An.
Day 7 - Imperial Citadel, Hue
Set off for Hue via a scenic route over Hai Van pass. Hue is a dignified city and the epitome of Vietnam's dynastic past. Take a cyclo ride up to the imposing Imperial Citadel; a magnificent centrepiece of the Royal Empire which was damaged extensively during the Vietnam war.
Day 8 - Royal Tombs, fly to Hanoi
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Royal Tomb of Minh Mang; a complex of 40 monuments set in sorroundings of gardens and pools. Continue to the old Thien My Pagoda before taking a cruise on the Perfume River. Fly to Hanoi.
Day 9 - Discover Hanoi
Sightseeing today includes a wander through the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, where you will pass Ho Chi Minhs Mausoleum and visit the Stilt House set in the gardens of the Presidential Palace. Also visit One Pillar Pagoda and the Confucian Temple of Literature. Walk through the Old Quarter and enjoy a traditional water puppet show to end the days exploration.
Day 10 - 11 - Halong Bay Junk Cruise
Board a traditional junk and spend the day cruising amongst the karst peaks on the traquil green waters of Halong Bay. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and A vision of awe-inspiring beauty, it is not hard to see why it is one of Vietnam's most popular destinations. Included in your voyage is a fresh seafood meal and overnight stay. The next day visit the Sung Sot Cave and return to Hanoi.
Day 12 - Fly Hanoi to Uk
Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day.
