Indochina Delights

Discover three of Indochina’s most remarkable countries. In Vietnam, experience the bustle of Saigon, relax in Hoi An, be amazed by the charm of Hanoi and cruise Halong Bay.

See the waterfalls and caves in Luang Prabang before ending the tour in Siem Reap to see the magnificent Temples of Angkor.

Your tour begins in Saigon with a sightseeing tour of Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. Delve into the amazing network of Cu Chi Tunnels before flying to the UNESCO town of Hoi An. Here you will visit the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An Market and a local Chinese Pagoda, as well as one of the oldest homes, still occupied by descendants of merchants that built it over 200 years ago.

Next you’ll fly to Hanoi, the city of lakes, before arriving at Halong Bay, Vietnam’s most iconic attraction. Cruise through the maze of islands with an overnight stay on a traditional junk cruise boat.

Explore Luang Prabang by tuk-tuk and climb to the top of Phousi Hill for breathtaking views over the city. Branching out from Luang Prabang you’ll cruise the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves and visit local villages and waterfalls.

The final leg of your tour begins with spectacular views from the summit of Pre Rup Temple at Siem Reap. Drive to the nearby fortified city of Angkor Thom, and the following day to the lesser visited temple of Beng Melea.

I have been very lucky to travel recently with Wendy Wu Tours to these countries. So many highlights! Angkor Wat, Saigon, Mekong Delta, beautiful Hoi An, Hanoi, the Halong Bay cruise; the authentic dining, pure pleasure for the taste buds. And not forgetting the local guides who bring everything to vibrant life. So much is included, even the visas, making these tours excellent value for money – just don’t forget you camera.
