Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Zurich. On arrival, we transfer to the high Swiss Alps and the resort of Davos in the Landwasser, where we check in to our hotel - the Steigenberger Grandhotel Belvédère (5T), Davos. Enjoy a welcome drink, meet your fellow travellers and take dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 - Davos
Enjoy a guided morning walking tour of Davos to introduce you to Europe’s highest city. Davos is a year-round destination. In the summer, there is free access to gondolas, cable cars, and trains, providing access to the higher mountain trails, avoiding the long walk up. Many of these mountain cable cars end at mountain restaurants offering amazing views for lunch; and there are countless well-marked hiking trails close to town. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure.
Day 3 - Tirano to St. Moritz
Your full-day included journey starts in Davos where you join the Bernina Express. This superb train journey takes you south, crossing the border to historic Tirano in Italy. This remarkable route passes through no fewer than 55 tunnels and crosses 196 bridges and the famous circular viaduct of Brusio. It also climbs the 2,253-metre Bernina Pass and (after crossing into Italy) passes through the Valtellina Valley. There is free time in Tirano to enjoy its delightful old town centre before rejoining the train bound for St Moritz. St Moritz sits in the heart of the Engadine valley on the southern side of the Alps. You will have some free time to explore this famous resort, which originated as a spa town.
Day 4 - Davos
Take time today to enjoy your surroundings with a day at leisure. Perhaps make use of your included pass and enjoy cable-car rides up onto the Jakobshorn, Parsenn or Rinerhorn. Or, if you seek rest and relaxation amid unspoilt nature, head off on foot, by bike or by horse-drawn carriage up the romantic side valleys of Sertig, Dischma or Flüela. Enjoy dinner at the hotel tonight.
Day 5 - Andermatt
Today, we join the famous Glacier Express train and take a breathtaking journey through the high Alps in the heart of Switzerland, to the traditional Swiss resort of Andermatt. The ‘slowest express train in the world’ takes you through stunning views of the impressive Alpine landscape, from the depths of the Rhine Gorge up to the 2033-metre high Oberalp Pass. For more than 80 years, the Glacier Express has borne witness to some of the proudest pioneering feats of Alpine railway engineering, including no fewer than 91 tunnels and 291 bridges.
Day 6 - Vaduz, Lake Constance, Lindau
On today’s full-day included excursion there will be a short stop in Vaduz to enjoy views of the Rhine and the castle. From here we journey onward to Lake Constance where we cross the border into Germany and stop at Lindau, a charming Bavarian lakeside town. From here we take a cruise across the lake before rejoining the coach for the journey back to Davos.
Day 7 - Davos
With your day of leisure, perhaps visit Davos Lake with its swimming area or visit the Monstein Brewery - the highest brewery in Europe. Alternatively, join an optional full-day tour to Chur, Switzerland’s oldest city. Dinner is included tonight.
Day 8 - Davos, Zurich, London
Today we transfer to Zurich Airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London Heathrow Airport. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
