VOI Donna Camilla Savelli
Overview
VOI Donna Camilla Savelli
Rome, Italy
Star Rating: ****
Located in a popular area of Trastevere, the Donna Camilla Savelli is a former 17th century convent designed by Borromini offering an oasis of calm amongst the hustle and bustle of Rome. This bohemian area sits to the west of the river Tiber and houses many bars and restaurants along its narrow cobbled streets, whilst within walking distance of the many famous landmarks.
The renovation from convent to hotel has been skilfully completed in keeping with the original Baroque period, featuring decorative ceilings, antique furniture and individual guest rooms located in the nuns former quarters. Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast either in the breakfast room, or in summer months in the tranquil courtyard garden where you can relax and plan your day's sightseeing amongst ancient surroundings. The hotel's facilities also include a bar and rooftop terrace promising breathtaking views across this eternal city.
