The St Regis Mauritius Resort
Overview
The St Regis Mauritius Resort
Mauritius
Star Rating: *****
Set on a white coral-sand beach with Le Morne Brabant mountain providing a dramatic backdrop, this serene resort is dedicated to relaxation and providing you with the feeling of being a special guest in a private residence. At the heart of the St Regis is the Manor House which has been inspired by traditional Mauritian architecture and features bespoke and unique furnishings and refined Victorian-style décor, all of which really adds to the character of the resort as well as a real sense of where you are. This is unmistakably Mauritius. It’s here where you’ll find a few of the restaurants and bars, the library, conservatory and grand ballroom. The boat house, spa, pool, suite buildings and a couple of further restaurants are set within the expansive estate grounds which surround the house.
Five restaurants provide distinct culinary experiences, bringing together French-inspired cuisine and Asian flavours. Enjoy French-Creole dishes in a colonial home setting at Le Manoir Dining Room. The Boathouse Bar & Grill will tempt you with its fruity cocktails, light meals and oyster platters while Floating Market serves South East Asian-inspired cuisine in a tranquil pool pavilion setting. Simply India has a menu featuring authentic Indian cuisine and Atsuko has a traquil ambience in which to enjoy modern dishes from the Far East.
