Explore some of southern Italy’s most spectacular highlights on this wonderful sightseeing tour for Single Travellers. From the splendours of the capital city of Rome, the intriguing history of Pompeii to the beautiful coastal scenery of Sorrento, an array of discoveries await on this fully escorted coach tour. Visit the monastery of Montecassino and the historic city of Pompeii, where you can join a guided tour to delve into the unique history of the site. Engulfed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii has remained frozen in time since 79AD. In Rome, see the ‘Eternal City’s’ many churches, basilicas and Roman ruins, including the famed Colosseum. On this holiday, we also offer an optional excursion to Sorrento, where you can spend time in the company of like-minded travellers on a guided exploration of the lovely resort town complemented by a visit to a Limoncello factory.

Full Itinerary

Day 1

Door-to-Door departure, then by coach overnight to Italy.

Day 2

Afternoon arrival in Fiuggi, near Rome, for a four-night stay. Included meals: Dinner

Day 3 - Montecassino & Pompeii

Today you can join our fantastic included excursion, first to the monastery of Montecassino.

We continue to Pompeii, engulfed during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD.

To make the most of your visit, why not join our optional guided walking tour? (Entrance into the ruins is included in the price of the walking tour).

Alternatively, you can explore the excavations at your own pace (entrance at additional cost).

Day 4 - Rome

Today you have the full day to discover the Italian capital city of Rome on our included excursion.

An optional guided sightseeing tour will enhance your visit to the ‘Eternal City’; the sightseeing tour takes place on both coach and by foot and will introduce you to the city’s wonderful sights, including the mighty Colosseum (entrance not included), Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.

Day 5 - Free Time or Sorrento

Enjoy a day at leisure in Fiuggi or join our optional excursion to the popular Neapolitan resort town of Sorrento, where you can spend the day exploring at your own pace.

Or to be introduced to the town’s highlights, join the optional 'Taste of Sorrento' excursion; explore the centre on foot with a local guide followed by a visit to a Limoncello factory for an introduction to the region’s delicious lemon liqueur.

Day 6

Free time before leaving for the overnight journey north.
